Side-scrolling Town Idler
Incremental Town RPG is pretty much what it says on the tin. It's an idle game where you build up a town, and go fight some monsters.
The town is in side-scroller form, several screens long. Send villagers to harvest resources, mainly wood, fish, coal, and ores. You have to hire villagers to use them.
You can send a few villagers per resource station to improve output. You can also upgrade stations in the market. Upgrading requires spending the resource produced. Fortunately, you can also click on resource stations for fast gathering.
Later, there are production buildings that use said resources. A mill/farm combo makes grain, grinds it into flour, and also produces meat and horses. The cookery makes bread and uses fish, meat, and bread to make better meals. The tavern brews grain into beer. And you have your standard blacksmith.
Spare villagers can be trained up in the barracks and sent out into battle agains various monsters. Your army is led by a general who levels up by fighting by themselves in areas accessed by the tavern. The fights here are full-screen, but there is a minimize button so you can do other stuff while your general fights. You'll need to build access to the areas the army fights in.
You build a building the game text refers to as a "mint" to make coins, but instead of making it out of the gold you're mining, you just get a better trading post.
You trade in resources for coin, but this is done on a countdown. There's no instant-sell of goods, nor are all resources tradeable. Production also seems to find some special resources, like fishing up bottles or finding gems, but these are not sellable, either. These rare finds become relevant for the final building.
The inability to sell everything at once becomes an annoyance with a million-coin quest milestone you need to reach. You have to babysit some of the trading goods to make sure they don't fall below what you need for efficent production.
The army fights do earn you cash, though you'll of course have to replace lost soldiers. Your general also earns cash when he fights in the areas accessed through the tavern.
The game has a "prestige" system, but it doesn't feel worth it. I didn't bother with it and still reached the endgame in 25 hours.
The prestige currency is prayer points, which are mostly earned by trading in drops from your general's fights in the tavern. Appropriately, the building to use them in and gain prestige is a church, but it is one of the last buildings you build.
There are a few prestige tech trees to improve your town, but you have to restart the game to use them. By the time you've saved up for something good, you're already halfway through the game, and most of the improvements you can gain are duplicated in the other upgrades you can get in a run.
After you've won the game, there's a couple more things you can do. There's a final building with access to a post-game fight zone. This takes some rare drops, the gems and such you can't sell, but one of them didn't drop for me by the time I unlocked it, probably because I didn't set production high enough on the resource that dropped it.
There's also a couple statues to buy.
This is a nice short little game by a young new dev. It needs some polishing up, but there are some solid fundamentals here. The dev already has announced another game in this vein in the works.

Amazing incremental title! The upgrades are logical, for once!
Progression was fine, even the prestige mechanic was decent.
It's great to see one's town fully built and the army growing.
Very nicely done, start building!

This game is unfinished and has numerous game breaking bugs. It wouldn't be worth playing it if was free.

Nice little incremental game made from a solo dev which is very responsive and active.
Got quick help via discord from him about an achievement. 100% completion is quite easy.
