I'm having much more fun than I anticipated in this game. Definitely recommend.

I only recommend this game if you have never operated an actual excavator and would like to get an idea of what it is like. Compared to the real deal, the controls are very difficult to be smooth with. There is a massive deadzone in the centre of each joystick, so you have to go full tilt in one direction just for the intended axis to move. There is little to no proportional control, and where there IS Proportional control, the area is so small that you can't effectively use it. (A good example of the opposite of this is VTOL VR and it's Joysticks/Throttle, you can be very precise with your movements.) I understand its an Arcade-Sim/Sim-Lite, but having operator excavators numerous times I can not recommend it. If you have never operated a real excavator, disregard this review. To the Devs: I would absolutely recommend this game/re-purchase it if you were to add more Joystick/Control customisation. The ability to control the deadzone area/proportional control area and the smoothness of controls would be paramount. Maybe some sort of advanced controls section would work best? I appreciate the ability to swap between ISO and SAE, as well as the swing speed of the house, it's a step in the right direction. (Although you wouldn't need to adjust the house swing speed if the left/right movement was more proportional like the real deal.)
