Game is cute and chill but it's way too slow to be enjoyable

I hate to be that guy but I'm leaving a negative review because the game is entirely unplayable with mouse&keyboard. The sensitivity is sky high (no in-game slider, ignores Windows settings, no registry value/config file) and the camera "fights" you as you try to look around. It's unbearable. Look, I'm aware that the game is yelling "controller recommended" at me from every direction. I just really, really don't like controllers. It would take about five minutes worth of development time to implement viable mouse support and maybe another half hour for a fancy sensitivity slider. But it's not there.

Dadish, but in 3D. It's a fun and nicely done transition to 3D, it plays well most of the time and it feels like a Dadish game. It does have some issues, sometimes when jumping over a cliff it's hard to tell if you're going to land on a plataform or fall to your death, specially in the running sections where you can't control the camera. It doesn't ruin the game or anything, but it's a bit annoying. The bosses are also really bland, they were never amazing in the previous games but most of these are literally beaten by walking. Worth playing if you liked the previous Dadish games or want a short and chill 3D plataformer.

I'll be honest and admit up front that I think the Dadish games are really great. Excellent (and sometimes devious) level design in bite-sized levels that thread the needle between being hard and punishingly hard pretty neatly. Great pixel art, goofy jokes, I could go on and on. I was a little skeptical about this transition to 3D platforming, but Thomas K. Young pulled it off. The art design is basic (in a good way) and sharp, the music is good, there's still plenty of goofy jokes to be found, and so on and so forth. It's not perfect-- getting the right camera angle to make some jumps can be a little finicky sometimes, but all in all, this is a great addition to the series, but I should mention that those cupcake lady enemies need to leave Dadish alone. He's a married man! Radish! You get what I mean.

another serviceable game from the dadish series. worth the asking price and nothing too crazy going on. one or two bad levels, plenty of fine ones. the series transitioned very comfortably into 3D, but that's largely because the game is basically the same as the 3 before it. the third dimension adds very little, and the majority of level designs seem to be designed as though the game is in 2d, as plenty of obstacles are easily sidestepped or ignored in a way that wouldn't have been possible without the extra dimension. still, it's not bad or anything. solid, if basic.

Short, simple, charming. I enjoyed it for what it was. Dunno if the 2D ones are better as others have said.

I've completed Dadish 1, 2 & 3. Dadish 3D is my favorite in the series. Maybe it's bias because of the obvious increase in graphic fidelity, but getting to see all the 2D enemies, traps, and assets re-imagined in 3D was extraordinary. The controls handle differently, not because of the three dimensional world, but the actual physics are different. Dadish controls have some weight to them, and he has a little bit of a turn radius akin to a wheel, so you must plan your movement slightly. The camera operates well and as expected. Sometimes if you get a wall behind you, the camera slams right up against you. A problem that's existed since the dawn of 3D games. Difficulty wise this was the most challenging of the series. Long levels and finding the collectible stars in the three dimensional world adds another level of difficulty. Despite this, like all the others in the series, I've finished the game in 2 hours. Minimal bugs, mostly due to the engine. Shadows don't render until pretty close and items in the distance may pop in and out of existence based on your field of view and/or camera positioning. I would guess this is the Unity engine and something that could have been corrected with some adjustments. All in all this was a great game and a great series and it's sad that it's all over. Hopefully next up is a Dadish 4D.

I LOVE the 2D Dadish games, but unfortunately the transition to 3D is rough. Jumping is imprecise, really hard to tell where you'll land, most enemies aren't a threat as they're just standing there in the middle of a huge platform. The humor is still there and top notch. Stopped on level 22 of 50 and this will be the first Dadish game I don't finish. If you haven't played the 2D Dadish games race over to the steam pages and buy them ASAP!

As someone that did NOT grow up with any video game console, other than a handful of CD-ROM games and the library of Flash games (that used to commonly be) found on the internet, Dadish 3D is thus far fulfilling my dream I had as a kid by being the 3D platformer reminiscent of those video games I never got to play. I've experienced a decent share of Thomas K Young's repertoire through the original Dadish and Super Fowlst for the iPhone. He brings a certain retro charm to all of his games that never feels too on-the-nose yet always stays consistent. I'm only one world in. So far, no level over stays its welcome and it strikes a good balance of having some difficulty when needed but never at the expense of enjoying the game. It's not a baby game, but you don't need to be a pro to enjoy it by any means. It's the kind of game I think you could introduce to anyone. The music is top-notch and all the dialogue bits are a lot of fun to read. Is the game worth $15? Umm probably not. With only 50 levels to beat and all of the levels thus far having been pretty bite-sized (again, only one world in), the price feels a bit much in my opinion. I say it's the kind of game you'll be better off treating to yourself when it's on sale. That said, I HIGHLY encourage you to check out Thomas K Young's games and to support him as a developer. He's really got something going on you may not find in many other places.

More Dadish, this time in 3D. No complaints with it, a very smooth transition to 3D. 2 hours to finish, perhaps a little longer if I'd gone back to collect all of the missing stars.
