(I'm writing this review one week after the game was released into early access.)
If you like tower defense games, don't hate clicker games and are looking for something that will keep you occupied for about 6-10 hours, look no further. Wake Cup is a very cute and fun game that feels a lot like playing Plants vs Zombies: among the tornado of clicks you're about to do, you also need to discover and optimize what works best and figure out what to spend your accumulated likes on in the metaprogression tree.
Originally a jam game, Wake Cup was expanded on and polished for months before early access release, and just a week after that a good amount of bugs were fixed and game performance improved immensely too.
I'm not sure what are the developer's plans in terms of additional content, but since the game is priced very fairly, it's already a great bang for your buck. Support your local (or remote) indie devs! :)

A delightfull mix of tower defence and clicker game filled with quirky personality.
I had great fun exploring the upgrade tree and improving my coffee dispensing powers.
I'd love to see better click automation earlier into the game and more ways to interact or upgrade the Blobistas during a level.
Great work nerds. Cannot wait to see what else you add to the game! <3 I'm in love with the Blobbies.

Wake Cup is a delightful little gem that blends tower defense, clicker mechanics and roguelite elements into an irresistibly charming package. Don't be deceived by the adorable Blobistas; this game packs quite a challenge. Though it's in early access and there are still some rough edges to smooth, the potential is immense and I can't wait to see how it evolves.
