This is such a fun game. Takes me back to the escape room games i would play back in the early 2000s on browser. Def worth 20 bucks.

Now with more escaping! I would have liked to see them evolve and improve navigating and interacting with the world to make the game feel better to play. Despite that, it's still a great game that I highly recommend, especially with a friend or two.

Most of the puzzles in the first game were related to padlocks. In this game they're more thematic. And harder. Fun times.

If you enjoyed the first game, Escape Simulator 2 is a fantastic step forward. It retains everything that made the original so much fun—especially the cooperative play—while refining almost every aspect of the experience.
The updated visuals look great, and I was pleased to find that performance remains excellent; it runs perfectly well on older hardware. The developers have introduced some really welcome quality-of-life improvements, too. The new hub world is a great addition for navigating between sessions, and the token collectibles finally feel genuinely useful, giving you more incentive to explore every corner of a room.
The puzzles themselves strike a perfect balance—they can certainly be challenging, but they always feel fair. What really sets this apart, however, is the longevity. The advanced features now available in the community levels are a game-changer, offering a massive amount of replayability that will keep you coming back long after you have finished the main content.
Whether you are jumping in with friends or tackling rooms solo, this is a polished, highly satisfying puzzle experience. Definitely worth picking up!

Excellent main attraction, a bit meh in some of the bonus stuff.
The meat of the game are the escape rooms - and the game is well worth the money for that. You get 3 themes with 4 rooms each plus currently 2 additional rooms that got released post release. Some of the rooms are stellar, some are just servicable, but there's no terrible one. The Vampire and Pirate Rooms are great. Some of the best I've ever seen. Space makes great use of it's theme in room 2, but is overall not as good as the other ones. All the puzzles are on the fun side. Not too difficult, but they almost never step into annoying territory. On top of that you get multiplayer and a level editor.
Now for the not so great stuff. Your player models will never look as cute or attractive as the cover art - there aren't even beards, but that hardly matters in Singleplayer. Then there are tokens to collect, which are jigsaw puzzle pieces you have to find and click on - and that is where the game leaves it's otherwise stellar clarity and becomes a test of your eyesight. Even if you have the right idea where to find them, you often miss them anyway. Dunno how to feel about those. One part of me says it has to be that way and the other says that it doesn't feel quite right. Anyway, these ultimatiely lead to a long boring unfair puzzle that doesn't feel challanging - just unfair, annoying and tedious - even if you read the walkthrough.
So, with all the not-so-great stuff being optional and the game offering good value otherwise, this is a total recommendation.
