These blocks only know One Direction, they’ll have to band together to get home.
What is it: A Sokoban-like game, but instead of pushing blocks one by one, all the blocks that are marked with the direction you’re pushing will move that way. Blocks with an Up arrow can only go up, Left to left, and so on. But when two blocks get in touch, they stick forever and can now move together, so you can move an Up block left if it is part of a larger block that has at least one Left block in it. There are several Star spots in the level, and the goal is to have one block on each star. It starts easy, with what feels like a chapter-long tutorial, but it gets harder later on, with more mechanics: blank blocks that don’t move by themselves, block destroyer spots, and buttons that unlock more blocks when they are pushed. And there are also 5 bonus levels that don’t have star targets, but a whole bunch of target shapes that you must build with the blocks you’re given, replaying the same level over and over until you form all the target shapes.
Overall, I liked the puzzles, but the game is very unpolished for now. A couple of broken levels that have since been fixed, no proper steam integration, bad animations, bad support for the Steam Deck (but it can be made to work with some tweaks), and a bit overpriced. Recommended, but ideally after the developer improves it some more, and on a lower price.
How hard is it: Easy to moderate.
How long is it: 120 regular levels and 5 bonus levels, plus a level editor that’s not connected to anything. Levels must be done in order, no skipping allowed. About 2-5 hours of playtime.
Level design: Good, and varied, although I found too many levels on the easy side.
Quality: Decent puzzles, a few useful settings, unpolished implementation. Undo and restart, proper level select. No cloud saving or achievements. No level skipping. Cached input, but no key repeat. No dark mode.
Worth the price: A bit too expensive.
Most positive aspect for me: Some clever puzzles.
Most negative aspect for me: No cloud saving.
What would make it better: Steam Cloud saving and Achievements. Dark mode. Level skipping.
