Out of all the maps, this one has to be my favorite. I love the territory in the eastern side, where the creek runs between the two mountains and there’s a waterfall. Though, there's a lot of varying terrain: high mountains, deep creeks, wide plains, woods, rocky fields, it’s very fun to traverse! I was a little concerned I’d get tired of the steeper parts since sliding a bunch tended to annoy me on other maps, but that wasn’t much of an issue. There’s a few parts where you’ll go sliding, but they often aren’t steep enough to slide or there’s a very clear path not far out of your way. (Or secret third option: sheer cliffside you didn't notice and end up jumping off of while your entire pack stares at you in disbelief.) It also helps with cornering prey and can make it so you're not chasing them as long, but it’s mostly just visual diversity and is a huge reason this is my favorite map. Nothing goes on too long or gets boring. The wilderness is also a great addition and the hunters keep you on your toes in the fall! Overall I loved getting the achievements and if I could only get one DLC map, this would be my pick!

This map has breathtaking scenery; the mountains, cliffs, and rivers... they offer tangible contrast and exploring the terrain is never boring on this map! The most fascinating fact about this map is the difference in terrains, elevations and types of rocks. There are also very fun human impacts on the map, as well as the possibility of crossing the border between the park and the wilderness at a high cost; a unique change of pace compared to the other maps. The wolverine is also a fun feisty fellow that offers quite the challenge every now and then! If you like contrasting scenery and are in for some virtual trekking, then this is your map.

This is probably my most played map right now. It's such a satisfying map to play on. Also the introduction of another dangerous area (like the Cattle Ranch on Slough Creek) has been very fun. I love that its optional to go anywhere near it, and to be honest my heart rate definitely quickens when I do lol. Great if you want something different from the vanilla maps!!
