A solid little incremental game! The mechanics have a surprising amount of depth and each run feels a little bit different.

Let me get this out of the way first this game is very hands on. It is like those "idle" games were you have to click constantly then an ad plays and you have to buy an ad remover or by in game currency to advance... Oh wait this game is $4.99.
I do enjoy pixel art games but this was a bit depressing.
This is just resource management with a weird step to increase the gold cap?
I hope it improves but like the other idle games out there this one needs some work.

This could have been so much more. The game is locked into too much idling, with too little things going on. This game would have been good if they had some sort of exploration system. A world map, or something. Its like 1/2 of a game. Its too active for an idle, and too idle for an active game. Hopefully the dev takes the engine he has here, and builds it out to be a fuller game.

I would normally not try a game with mixed review score - but I realised I had played Tap Wizard 2 for almost 100 hours which is a free game, so I thought I had better buy something from the developer.
The game runs on a very strict railroad. For quite a few initial prestige resets you just 100% waste your time trying any sort of alternative strategy (don't waste your time unlocking all the chaos orbs early on, turns out the resource needed is locked away behind a certain prestige level). After a certain point you can wobble a little on the railroad you are travelling on because you can go a slower route to get slightly more prestige points. The difference in this game is that you are on a one way track - once you prestige a level you have to get to the next higher point - you can't just repeat a run like most idle games.
There are a bunch of resources that link in reasonably interesting ways - the problem is the strategies are extremely limited - you have very little strategic choice. There is a shop, and you basically go through buying each item, and then keep upgrading the items you purchased until you can afford new items from the shop. As mentioned before - you can waste a lot of time trying to 'go further' before a prestige. I only came across one item that you could do slightly better once you arrived at a certain prestige level - but the dev mentioned to another reviewer that there is a second variable option that comes up at a certain point. Looking at the screenshots I seem to have come across every item already - just some fixed prestige items to come up.
Did I have fun? I did enjoy it a reasonable amount - I was a bit sleep deprived and looking for a very simple experience and this fit the bill. I liked the fact it was an active idle style game. It's a weak recommend from my side.

I've been playing this on my steam deck while traveling last week and the game is great! It isn't really an idler and certainly doesn't deserve the mixed reviews. If you like numbers go up and incrementally buidling up your recources/their generation give this a try! (:
Edit: And the soundtrack is great!

Very neat little game. Great art style and interesting progression. Definitely worth picking up for the low cost of entry if you are into idle games.

An elegant incremental game with steadily unfolding depth and complexity.
At its core, this is a resource management game. Decide how best to spend your Souls, Gold, Runes, Orbs of Power, and other resources to improve your Wizard's combat ability or to generate additional resources.
Well worth the Five Dollar price tag. If you enjoy incremental games, it is well worth trying WizUp!

I'm going to edit my review. It wasn't my cup of tea. It has a lot of great concepts that I think many will enjoy. I was jarred by the blaring loud sound settings that the dev has said it was a bug and will fix it. I was also confused by the fact that the death animation was just both parties standing still doing nothing. The dev has said this was by choice. I am personally not a fan on how the investment system is revolved around different forms of currencies with the upgrades being more storage or beat more enemies faster. Your health bar acts as just a timer until you have to wait to re-spawn. It's just not for me.

Didn't enjoy this. Concept is pretty cool, but the lack of automation is a deal breaker for me. The game isn't idle, it's very active, and is essentially you just clicking anything that glows (two button presses) to upgrade once resources his the cap. The combat isn't particularly fun to watch either, and the "freeze" frames on death make it feel like the computers lagging.
Good concept, but needs more going on, especially outside of the "inventory" . Random events that can pop up etc, automation. Unfortunately you don't "feel" the benefits of anything you are doing in this game which makes it a pointless idle game. The wizards spells don't get bigger and better, you just hit a new wave.
It's like the most basic of tap heroes just with a convoluted way of upgrading everything. I obviously haven't got to the end game yet, but my first impressions so far.
Even something as simple as a separate inventory where mobs could drop "gear" would elevate this game to something enjoyable, and upgrades around loot drops/rarity.. missed opportunity imho.
Needs alot of improvement. Numbers going up is good, but it needs to serve a purpose, whether it be QOL, or visual upgrades, or more mobs appearing/aoe attacks etc, this has none of that

The game had a very promising start, but after a couple of days, you have unlocked all main features and the game gets really repetetive. There are no automation features, so it comes down to clicking upgrades for an hour or two in every prestige. The dev is active and responds on discord, but refuses to add automation.
I will only give a recommendation because the price is low and I did have fun for a couple of days, but the supposed "endgame" is a big disappointment.
