But why the fuck does Epic Games begin updating when I start this Game, which I BOUGHT on Steam?
And why can't I play multiplayer without connecting to Steams ugly little cousin?

The core gameplay of TerraTech is genuinely compelling! The incredible freedom in building vehicles, the vast array of modules, and the ongoing addition of new corporations and content showcase the developers' commitment. These elements form the foundation of a sandbox game with immense potential.
However, these strengths are utterly undermined by persistent, game-breaking bugs that severely hinder progress! [h3]The most frustrating issue encountered repeatedly in single-player Survival Mode is the failure of main quest NPCs to spawn. This directly leads to save files becoming soft-locked, making it impossible to advance the game normally – an absolutely infuriating experience.[/h3]
This isn't a minor glitch; it's a critical flaw capable of destroying the entire gameplay experience! I strongly urge the developers to immediately prioritize fixing this specific issue. Concrete suggestions:
[h3]1.Enhanced NPC Spawn Validation[/h3]: Implement strict checks during NPC generation in single-player Survival Mode to ensure surrounding terrain or resource obstructions do not block the spawn point or the player's essential path.
[h3]2.Force-Spawn Mechanism[/h3]: When the player approaches or enters a quest area, the system should actively check if the critical NPC is present. If missing, force-spawn the NPC immediately to prevent players from becoming permanently stuck.
The current state of the game is deeply regrettable. The underlying mechanics are so solid, the design so engaging, yet it's all dragged down by these fundamental technical failures. Unless the developers promptly and effectively resolve these core bugs (especially the progress-blocking ones), no amount of rich content or high freedom can compensate for the player loss caused by poor stability.
Due to these severely detrimental bugs, I must currently leave a negative review and cannot recommend the game. I sincerely hope the developers take this seriously and fix these issues!

1、增强NPC刷新判定: 在单人生存模式生成NPC时,严格检查其周围地形和资源是否阻挡了生成点或玩家必经路径。
2、强制刷新机制: 当玩家接近或到达任务区域时,系统应主动检查关键NPC是否存在。若缺失,应立即强制刷新该NPC,避免玩家陷入死档。
目前的状态真是让人倍感遗憾。游戏的底子这么好,玩法设计如此吸引人,却被这些基础性的技术问题无情拖累。除非开发者能尽快、有效地解决这些核心BUG(尤其是卡关BUG),否则再丰富的内容和再高的自由度,也无法挽回因糟糕稳定性而流失的玩家。
现阶段,由于这些严重影响体验的BUG,我不得不给出差评,并暂不推荐。衷心希望官方能重视并修复!
