Very great game just not that many people anymore so if you and your friends have a spare 20$ might as well use it on this.

Amazing game, as a person who's been playing video games and Gang Beasts for years I always recommend Gang Beasts to people. Something about the game's simplicity is so charming, being able to easily play this with anyone and mastering the game's mechanics within minutes allows every casual gamer to relax and enjoy playing this game with his friends and family

This is such a cool and fun game to play with friends, even non gamers would love it. Unfortunately I have to leave a bad review because it's unplayable Online due to a constant lagging. local mode is ok, but as soon as you play online with other people (when you finally manage to find someone eventually), that's when the annoying part comes. There is a constant delay when you control your character and I really don't get it, it's such a simple game to run and the fact that the developers are't doing anything to solve this issue after all these years, means that they don't really care. It's such a shame, could've been a good review. BONELOAF, DO YOU WANT TO CHANGE MY MIND? THEN SORT OUT THIS ISSUE!

Gang Beasts is a wildly entertaining multiplayer party game that thrives on chaotic, physics-based brawling with a distinct sense of humor and charm. At its heart, the game offers a simple yet highly engaging premise: players control gelatinous, brightly colored characters who fight in absurd, hazardous environments. The controls are deliberately a bit clumsy, which only adds to the fun, as the unpredictable physics create hilarious moments of stumbling, grabbing, and flailing that keep matches lively and full of surprises.
What makes Gang Beasts stand out is its accessibility and pure, unfiltered fun. Whether playing with friends locally or online, the game encourages casual competition and laughter rather than serious combat mastery. The arenas are imaginative and often perilous, featuring moving platforms, swinging wrecking balls, and deadly pits that add a layer of environmental challenge to the brawls. These hazards keep players on their toes and often lead to unexpected victories or defeats that feel earned by the chaotic energy of the match.
The game’s visual style is a key part of its appeal. Its bright, cartoonish graphics are simple but effective, with each character’s squishy, floppy movements contributing to the overall comedic tone. The characters themselves are customizable, allowing players to personalize their fighters with quirky costumes and colors, which adds a layer of personal expression to the mayhem. Sound design complements the visuals with goofy grunts and exaggerated impact noises, reinforcing the lighthearted and silly vibe that Gang Beasts so proudly embraces.
Though the gameplay loop is straightforward, it remains surprisingly engaging over many rounds. Matches are short and fast-paced, making it easy to jump in for a quick session or settle in for extended play. The game supports up to eight players, which ramps up the chaos and fun as more characters jostle for dominance in cramped, obstacle-filled arenas. However, some players might find the physics occasionally frustrating or imprecise, especially in competitive settings where a slight misgrab can turn the tide unexpectedly.
Despite its simplicity, Gang Beasts offers enough variety through its different maps and customization options to keep players coming back. The social aspect is where the game truly shines, as the laughter and unpredictability multiply when playing with friends or strangers. It’s less about honing skills and more about enjoying the silly, frenetic combat and the hilarious situations that arise from it. This makes Gang Beasts a fantastic choice for parties or casual gaming sessions where the goal is to have fun and create memorable moments.
In summary, Gang Beasts is a delightful and chaotic multiplayer brawler that combines goofy physics with accessible gameplay and vibrant visuals. While it may lack depth for hardcore competitive players, its charm lies in the unpredictable, laugh-out-loud moments it generates. It’s a perfect game for anyone looking to unwind, enjoy some lighthearted competition, and revel in the unpredictable chaos that only a physics-based brawler can deliver.

Best party game ever.
This is until they just casually decided to drop support for 5+ local players - countering the very point of the game (at least for me). Goobers.
EDIT: I made it work, but only with 4 Xbox pads and 2 cable-connected-PS4 pads and Steam Input Off.
Steam Input support 5+ xinput devices so if they integrated with it they could bring comfortable playing for 8 people back, but since they didn't for over 3 years now, I doubt they ever will

We have played this a lot and the kids find it very funny. But it would be nice to support more than 4 players for local play. Thank you for this making this game.
