This is a very dark game. Don't play this if you have weak nerves

Finally a horror game that doesn't rely on cheap jumpscares but actually has an interesting, deeply unsettling story. The puzzles are quite difficult though, I had to use a guide.

I wish there was a mixed option instead of just positive/negative on Steam. Fatal Falls is an indie psychological horror game with a lot of ambition, but unfortunately, its execution falls short in some areas (no pun intended). While it has an intriguing premise and some moments of genuine tension, for instance in the sewers-like chapter, the game has a few issues. 1. Puzzles Some are well-designed and even embedded in well-written dialogues, but others rely too much on backtracking or finding tiny, hard-to-spot details in dimly lit environments. 2. Inventory The way items are handled is clunky. Certain objects don’t save correctly across chapters, and using something like a battery for the camcorder feels like it was tacked on rather than a meaningful survival mechanic. 3. Performance The game runs smoothly in some areas but chugs in others, especially during the later chapters. It feels unoptimized, with occasional stuttering and frame drops despite good hardware. Fatal Falls has potential, but it feels like a game that’s trying too hard to be deep without refining the core gameplay. The horror elements are undercut by tedious puzzles. However, if you love psychological horror, a decent story and are patient enough to deal with its flaws, you might find something worth experiencing.
