tf you mean "here, I have the key"?!?!? I GAVE YOU THAT KEY!!! In all seriousness, this is an incredible DLC. The quality is as good if not better than the base game. Every new boss is incredibly well designed, except the Anguished Guardian. I've never been a fan of humongous bosses that makes it easier fight without locking on to them. He isn't hard, just annoying. The final boss is incredible, honestly, one of my top 10s. There are also some incredibly fun new weapons, both for Motivity- and Technique-based builds, can't say much about advance, since i never touched that stat once. If you can't wait for a sale, I think it is worth the price (it hasn|t gotten a sale as of writing this). THE FINAL BOSS IS INPUT READING!!! I just mean that it he will try (not unavoidable) to punish you for healing. So you have to quickly decide on if you want to play it safe or heal and try to block his flurry or attacks, a little risk- reward type of deal. Very fun. Also I recommend not helping your ally get up. She is too OP and I had to use my instant death item for the first time.

That is a very good DLC, albeit a hard one. I would like to talk about why it's a good DLC mechanically, but first difficulty and new stuff. NO spoilers, but I will be discussing how certain mechanics are implemented and have been improved upon in this DLC. I won't be naming any bosses, but there will be some broad descriptions of the design philosopy, so considered yourself warned if you want to discover everything on your own. Difficulty It's not meant to be a victory lap after finishing the main game; it feels like the main game was a tutorial for this. They added difficulty settings, so if the legendary stalker is too much heat, you can dial it down for a moment (although I recommend against it). To my liking there are too dense mobs, but I like focusing on the bosses so it might be a 'me' problem. Novelty They added new assets and areas. I love it that we begin in a zoo (you've seen in the trailers, so NO spoilers here) and a county fair. I'm sure that someone must have come up with the idea of zombie animals, but it still was so cool. Mechanics VERY MINOR SPOILER. I'm trying to keep it as spoiler free as possible, but they did improve on the design of the bosses. Everybody has a different strat and everybody's experience might vary, but I think the developers were onto something here. (i) There is a duo boss fight, where they put a spin on it. You're not fighting two bosses, but one boss who uses the second one as a weapon. This is a very cool and novel take on duo fights and once you start treating the fight in this way, it become manageable. (ii) There is a boss that has two phases, but not consecutively (the second one after the first one), but alternatively, so it can and will revert to the first phase. But these two phases are not the ones that matter. In this game you can BREAK enemy's weapon. The boss hits like a train and has relentless combos, so regardless of his current phase you are in stage one: you need to parry in order to break his weapon. You will attack only in order to regain health after imperfect guarding. More attacking would eat up your stamina. You can use up all your pulse cells (healing flask) at this point. When the weapon brakes- and it will take a while, as it is a tanky boss... - we enter stage 2. The boss hits a lot less harder, so you can risk exchanges. If you have invested points into dealing more dmg and receiving less dmg when out of pulse cells, the dynamic changes dramatically. The first 1/3 of the HP when the boss has its weapon takes a lot of time (because you cannot be attacking too much), but the second 2/3 take a lot less, as you're finally free to deal dmg and having no pulse cells actually helps you. Whenever he attack you, you will be attacking more and replenishing the cell in no time (because by attacking you reload the pulse cell). So the two phases do not matter, what matters are two stages: with a normal weapon and with a broken weapon. Once you figure it out (and wear a talisman that doesn't destroy your weapon when you parry), the fight goes from "IT'S IMPOSSIBLE, COMPLETE BS" to "wow, that is actually a brilliant fight" in 2 attempts. I would say that this is the best boss, as all the mechanics converge: braking a weapon, regenerating guard regain by attack, regenerating pulse cells by attacking, changing dmg dealt and received when out of pulse cells. Stage one: survive the combos by perfect guarding, stage two: deal some sweet damage by attacking relentlessly. And what is particularily fun is the fact that those two stages DO NOT coincide with the two "phases". Brilliant design. Of course there is some BS as well, like in all souls games. You breeze through some bosses, you're stuck on others and it's different for everybody. (maybe except for the gator, which everybody dislikes ;-; ). It's a good DLC.

I'll start off saying, I absolutely loved the base game. Completed it a couple months ago for the second time, and finally decided to grab the DLC. Honestly, slightly disappointed, but mostly in a number of the bosses. Many bosses in the base game were fun, and fairly unique from one another. The difficulty never bothers me, I've played many souls like games, and beaten many of them, many times over. What i dislike, is when bosses and enemies feel cheap to the point where they are hyper aggressively just constantly pushing you into a corner and smothering you to the point that you cannot even see what is happening. The camera goes janky, and you can't even tell when an attack is happening to parry it. It just feels cheap, as if they didn't even want to give that boss any amount of thought or character. Just make it more difficult for the sake of being difficult, is lazy.

This DLC is truly "More Lies of P". Most statements about Lies of P remain true for the DLC and lean into them further: top tier, innovative soulslike mechanics; gorgeous spectacle; fluid animations; satisfying and beautiful soundscape. However, the story is even weaker than the base game, and this DLC commits the sin of shrinking the world by tying together lore threads unnecessarily. What at one point felt like a sprawling city and world beyond now feels like another Great Man story with like 8 important characters for the entire history of Krat. That said, the game does have some smaller characters with self-contained and small-scale story arcs, which does make a difference. That said, story aside, this DLC is spectacular and fun and definitely worth your time and money.

Amazing DLC for already incredible game. If you enjoyed the base game this is a must play. It reminds me of Old Hunters for Bloodborne both in content and quality

Excellent DLC overall. Lots of new content so well worth the price. Great boss fights, with only one exception being the infuriating travesty that is the Tyranical Predator boss fight. How that crap got past the testing phase is beyond me. The camera is some of the worst i've ever experienced in a soulslike, and thats saying something giving that camera issues is one of the more common complaints. Luckily once you get past that one single garbage fight, the rest of the DLC is freaking amazing and the bosses after it is some of the best in the game. Aside from that, the overall design of this expansion is excellent. The new weapons are cool and unique. The new enemies are good and varied enough, wish we had more of the kangaroos though! The setting and story is cool and ties well into and fleshes out the main game's story. So yeah, an easy recommend to anyone who liked the base game.
