I should have written a review for this a long time ago, but it's better late then never.
Diadra Empty is one of those shmups that hits all the right notes in ways not immediately obvious. In fact, at first the game feels obtuse, challenging and somewhat lacklustre. Stick with it, however, and your increasing mastery of the game's mechanics will reveal a well-built horizontal shmup that sticks the landing with uncommon grace and takes up permanent residence in your heart.
