Very fun but a little rough around the edges. Hopefully the developers realize this and continue to enhance the game. It's very fun.

Overall a decent game, nothing too revolutionary. The idea behind a lot of the characters are really fun and interesting. While similar to alot of games of the same vein, it's still quite enjoyable, and for the price it's a definite recommend from me.

DAM GOOD... I saw a review bombing this game coz "Brotato ripoff"...which is just hilarious considering this game allows you to literally change your weapons DURING an active battle. Brotato cant do that...the graphics look better than Brotato...the shooting feels better, the depth is ALREADY better....soooo im unsure why the hate?? If you liked Brotato mechanics, but with expanded skill tree and better graphics...this is it.

Recently played this on my channel ( https://youtu.be/328IDaUOPV8?si=QxEfhLNEbYycT4TD ). This was the first play ever - having not fired it up before so you can see what to expect for the first hour or so. Great graphics, lovely in-game effects and superb soundtrack on the menus wrapped up with an exceptional game. What bothers me, is the lack of exposure here - I went to their twitter and so little follows and this game really needs to be seen. For clarity, I paid for this with my own money so there is zero outside influence going on here. This game is a hell of a lot of fun and stupidly cheap for what it is, it's almost too cheap and on a personal level I would have not been offended to pay more. Quick pop for my channel, it is The Gentlemen's Pixel Club, we play all kinds of games and this is one I will be returning to on the channel.

I'm going to preface this by saying most reviews here seem to have very little playtime and almost no playtime in higher difficulties. I've played for 16+ hours at the time of writing this, primarily to unlock every character, finish a run at Max difficulty, and max out the roguelite elements. (Ex: +10% dmg +5% Intrest, etc). Additionally, before I begin, I'd like to say I'm going to be pointing out a LOT of flaws with the game and I hope this can act as a feedback to the developers to fix some of what I feel are issues and some of the bugs. The game is fine for the price point, in early access, and I am very much asking for probably more than is considerably FAIR for those facts. I am doing most of my comparing to Brotato as it is a very similar game and this game could use a few things to help it stand out (Which I will talk about) and things that Brotato does better which I hope the devs can take some inspiration from if they haven't had the chance already. This will act as the pros section as there really isn't anything about this game that's unique or interesting from other similar entries: The game IS worth 5$. That's about it. You'll get 5-8 hours of entertainment from it. I say entertainment because anything more really does just feel like pointless same old same old. It's a game worth playing for a few days if you're bored and got nothing better to do. Let the cons section begin... -Most of the characters are nothing characters. This means they either have the same abilities as another character with minor stat changes that might as well not even be there or they basically don't do anything or in some cases, work at all. - The leveling your inventory every run is slow and painful. I imagine most players enjoy this kind of game through upgrading and getting more powerful as they go deeper into the dungeons or whatever the game has to offer. However, you need three (3) of an item to level it to tier 2. In most games, this would be fine. However, Sleep stream does NOT have anything but tier 1 in the shop. This means as you go deeper with your limited gold, you have to buy three (3) Tier 1 items to make a tier 2. Now you need three (3) tier 2 items to make the final Tier 3. However, this means you need the shop to OFFER and PURCHASE nine (9) tier 1 of an item. The implementation of offering higher tiers of items as you level the shop would do wonders for this game. -Synergies are mostly JUST weapon dmg % bonus. Only a very few like Devil (1HP recov for every killed enemy +50% dmg taken and -50% lifesteal), Bloody (Lifesteal %), and Rampage (Attack speed %) change anything that isn't just do more dmg. Some synergies don't even work such as the RICH trait. You'll see more about why it doesn't a bit later as it gives Interest 10% -Leveling up the shop and your character each run is exceptionally odd at times. ALL characters get X number of weapon slots and Y number of armor slots. However, almost every character starts with 1 weapon slot active. You're expected to spend gold on both upgrades and leveling the shop to both unlock higher quality items AND unlock active slots. This would be fine, however in 20 floors (The max amount), you do not get very much XP passively and are forced to spend a large amount of gold on unlocking active slots. Most of the armor in the game is pretty much useless so you're mainly going for weapons until some of the very end game armor items (Which also means its nearly impossible to upgrade both a few weapons and armor to tier 3 before run end). Sadly, a lot of the earlier levels unlock mainly armor slots. So you'll be spending a lot of your early levels in the run just buying worthless slots and falling behind on gold due to getting weaker every floor. -Some of the stats in the game just flat out do NOT work. Ex: Interest (Gain % of remaining gold per floor). As far as I can tell through testing, this just doesn't work. I've not once gained a single extra gold upon starting a floor or finishing one(Other than income) from this stat. This makes amassing gold that much harder. -Some of the character abilities are just straight up do NOT use or you die. Ex: Berserker puts you to half life, gives life steal and you take 30% more dmg. Not dmg buff, no attack speed, movement speed, or anything. Best use I've had is using it when at or under 50% hp to just not lose hp but now you take 30% more dmg (Basically you're able to die in a hit or two) and you can only use melee weapons so good luck getting that sweet spot to even get positive hp gain from the lifesteal. - The final boss is pretty much immortal in almost all cases in higher difficulty levels. This thing has way too much hp, a ton of enemies to soak damage for it so it often doesn't even get hit, hits so hard you'll be isekied, and just kinda... walks at you? This thing could honestly just not be there and I doubt anyone would notice. Other games like Brotato come to mind when talking about final floor bosses and those have actual abilities and you can beat them rather than just living till time runs out. -There are so few weapons and ESPECIALLY armors that are even worth grabbing. They mostly end up being filler to make the shop not roll anything useful in my experience. Some of the weapons straight up look way too alike and at first I'd end up with two Gatling guns and one Marksmen rifle and not understand why they didn't form a tier 2 till I looked closer. I only say this because I hope the developers read this and fix this and do a bit better at making the weapon sprites a bit more diverse looking in the future as I hope they add more to this game since its early access. Some weapons have abilities that just make them stop working for 2 - 4 seconds which, other than trying to give you a reason to choose the trait that turns off a weaponskill, I'm not sure why exists. Additionally, please fix the spiked armor text as it just says (20 as damage every 2 seconds to nearby enemies). - Could really benefit from more diverse enemies and maybe an additional game mode. Other than the obvious ENDLESS everyone is gonna want, maybe something with extra traits added to the floors such as limited vision, walls, obstacles, etc. As for enemies, most are just different looking things that walk at you. Maybe add some enemies in the higher floors that are immune to certain element types or do certain elements of damage or inflict status effects. That's all for the moment. I'll edit if more comes to mind. In conclusion, yeah, its worth 5$ and I really hope a lot of issues are addressed when updates come out.
