I highly recommend this game if you enjoy fishing games, it can be a bit of a grid but it is very rewarding. The story is pretty simple but refreshing, it's different from what I expected going in but I found it quite enjoyable. The fishing mechanics are almost timing based but the special mechanics for some of the later Sea'Az make the fishing not get stale.

I played this game's demo on Next Fest a few months ago, and when I got my steam deck this felt like the perfect game. Its great its not too long, its lightweight and fun.
I 100% recommened it, its fully worth the time it makes to play.
Thank you for making this game..

It's really good! It just starts slow. The main fishing mechanic is stretched to its limit across the course of the game in many creative ways. And the postgame content is great as well. This is probably the zenith of the new era of fishing minigames

What can I say? I love fishing minigames. 10/10
In all seriousness, if you're here, it's because you like fishing games, and if you like fishing games, you will like this game. It's not that complicated.
Some of the reviews criticize the dialogue, claiming that it's unbearable to read. I have three things to say to this. First, we are all here to fish, aren't we? What do we care of a compelling story? Second, I do not understand where these critiques even come from. I guess there must have been an update or something? The dialogue is perfectly servicable, and not bad at all, let alone distractingly so! (Though I admit, the fact that the main character is named "Rod" stops me every time I remember it XD.) Last but not least, the story is actually pretty cute? I like the dynamic of the two main characters, and the overarching plot is compelling enough to go from point A to B without stopping to fish for every single Sea'Az in between (although I may have still done that from time to time, I just love fishing games).
Tldr, honestly the fact that you're reading reviews for this game is enough proof to me that you will like it.

Amazing fishing RPG with a good variety of mechanics to keep the gameplay from feeling monotonous. The story is also enjoyable and it's not overly grindy in order for you to reach the end. There are also segments of real-time combat involved, as well as sprinkles of puzzles here and there. Overall, I would highly recommend if you just want a game focused on fishing in an RPG setting.

If you like fishing games, you'll probably like this game.
The story is super simple and you'll follow along even if you skim past the story.
You might think that just fishing all the time as gameplay might get stale, but a lot of the fish and every single boss fight has some unique mechanic that spices things up, so you won't get bored of the gameplay.
The difficulty is generally on the chill/easier side, but some boss fights were actually pretty challenging (in a fun way!).

Incredible $15 game that kept me addicted for 20+ hours. Every aspect of this game from start to finish was so well done, definitely worth your time & money! *NOTE* After locking my FPS @ 30, the game ran so much smoother compared to the other settings.
Fishing mechanic is well done where all of the stats have an impact you can feel. Gimmick fish (boss battles kinda) add variety to keep things fresh and end game has some really interesting mechanics!
Tons of cool locations to explore, fish to catch, equipment to craft, with the perfect amount of grind and challenge to keep you exploring and farming materials to craft better rods or hooks. Bait which is something I didn't use much can honestly provide the boost you need to catch those fish that usually might be out of your level range.
Great game, great flow, 0 negatives, even enjoyed the extra 2-3 hours of replaying the game from the start because I missed an achievement! :P
