Top-tier puzzler. The mechanics build and cascade into tons of brain-melting setups that seem impossible at first, but later become ingredients in grand-scale designs. It reminds me a lot of Stephen's Sausage Roll in that you're constantly discovering new interactions including some overworld finesse. The gameplay itself, however, is very different. SSR let's you see everything in front of you. Gentoo Rescue has a lot of hidden layers of possibility within each puzzle. The creator also clearly put a ton of care into managing the complexity of these layers in setting up the layout of each puzzle. I can't speak about my favorite part directly without spoilers, suffice to say it gets REALLY good. Great value, too. I'm writing this fresh off of wrapping up a 100% playthrough at ~37 hours. I thought for certain a couple levels at the end were inadvertently unsolvable before making the final breakthrough. Very rewarding to finally crack the final barrier.

Amazing game for anyone who likes sokoban style puzzlers. Tons of interesting mechanics explored fully but nothing overused either. Organization of the levels is unique and super fun. Challenging but never felt impossibly stuck (except one bonus level). If needed, the hint system seems like it is one of the best I've seen with a series of progressively clearer nudges towards the solution.
