Gameplay: This game have potential. While nothing revolutionary right now, its mechanics are surprisingly fun. I do think the maps could be designed better to take full advantage of the character's unique movement abilities. Graphics: Game looks ugly. It suffers from the typical "Unreal Engine 5 junk" issues that plague many titles. Penguins: Current Anti cheat works well under Linux (it uses same AC as GTA Online btw). However, it occasionally mistakes web browsers for cheats, and the game misidentifies SSDs as HDDs, requiring an extra prompt after launch. Player models: Mmmmm would you enjoy being teabagged by Akai Hime? Let me know in the comments

As someone who has actively played this game since the Open-Alpha test a year ago, I don't recommend buying Wild Assault in it's current state. I was really excited when it was announced that Wild Assault would enter Early Access. However, all I can say now is that I'm disappointed. I highly suggest waiting for it's full release to see if anything has significantly changed from now. If not, then the same still applies. As much as I've always wanted to show my support to Combat Cat Studio, I need to share my honest opinions. I can only hope that they would consider some of the suggestions and feedback that the community has given. Unfortunately, a lot of major issues with this game have been overlooked several times. Here's a quick list of some of the current issues that the game has: -Game optimisation -Overall balance in the game (e.g: character balance, gun balance, raid gamemode, neutral item in conquest, etc.) -Poor matchmaking still (yes, even after the update, matchmaking is still terrible) -The game is still flooded with bots -Bots are either completely useless or they have extremely accurate aimbot -Ping issues, the only current available servers are: Asia Pacific, Europe, South America and US East (to be expected for now since the game is already small but also practically dead at the moment and server costs are expensive) -Restricting the time that people can play certain gamemodes (Team Deathmatch starts at 22:00 UTC+10 and ends at 02:00 UTC+10, Random Deathmatch starts at 10:00 UTC+10 and ends at 14:00 UTC+10) -Lack of communication regarding the following issues (and also the issues above, but mostly the issues below): -Regional Pricing still hasn't been implemented (everything is in USD) -Ridiculous skin/cosmetic prices (Akai Hime's skin alone costs $31AUD/$20USD and the bundle costs $46AUD/$30USD, they did put a temporary sale until July 3rd but it still costs roughly the same amount) I hope this helps other people to decide whether or not they purchase Wild Assault, since I wish I knew these things sooner myself. Feel free to add to this list or ask questions, because I'm more than happy to help in any way possible.

I like the game, or at least the idea/what its trying to do. however, there is NO ONE playing, and most matches, you only find bot filled servers to even start matches. few playable characters, and like, 3 maps over all modes. Its basically a dead on arrival tps battlefield clone, but with furries. also I swear it SLIGHTLY feels of AI generated content... If I see it get a spike in players, I'll give it another chance. but this should have been a F2P live service if it has a battlepass already.

Game needs work but feels really fun, 12 hrs into the game and well see how it is after like 50 to 100 hrs in the game. And yes furry stuff oh well, it works for this game to be honest. My biggest pet peeve with EA games like Battlefield series some felt like chore and same with DF(Delta Force). Always up hill battle to change into your favor without being auto loose match in a way. Here you can change the game in blink of an eye and feels nice, but yes there's some matches team feels like they don't want to win. That happens with any game to be honest.

Gameplay is simple but fun and effective, character design and things like the maps are fun. Only issue I have is with the bots, as teams consist of 90% bots and they aren't very well developed - they can see through smoke, don't revive etc. Honestly if the bots were improved or if the game got popular enough that they weren't needed as much, this would be the perfect game in my opinion. Anyone who calls this game nothing more than furry bait is wrong.

Honest solo experience review Playtime: 10+ hours Not recommended (for now) This game has a promising concept and strong core ideas. But I’m leaving a negative review due to several major issues: - Match outcome is predictable before it starts. Like in older games such as Shatterline, the second you see enemy player names in the lobby, you already know it’s over. It’s either leave or get farmed. - No matchmaking balance. You're constantly matched with disorganized randoms, while the enemy is a well-coordinated Discord squad. It’s a complete mismatch. No balance. No fun. - Teams feel one-sided and demoralizing. In my full player team, only 2–3 on my side seem to actually play. The rest feel like bots or are completely inactive. Meanwhile, the enemy squad moves like a unit. You feel helpless. - Gunplay lacks polish, progression is too slow. Even starter sniper rifles are wildly inaccurate — and when you finally unlock the “best” one after 10+ hours, it’s still inaccurate. The scopes are clunky and uncomfortable. It’s just frustrating. - Yes, there are cheaters too. No need to elaborate. Despite everything, I want to say this: The game genuinely impressed me. The animations, the fluid beast movement on all fours, the world design — it all has soul. I rarely feel this way about a game. But no matter how beautiful the concept, the problems above make me never want to launch it again — at least not in its current state.

For what the game is in it's current state, it's pretty fun. It's just missing a lot of content (lack of maps, cosmetics, etc). I would love to see how they update it in the future.

The gameplay itslef its not bad, the desings are clearly meant to appeal to furries but it feels like a fresh take on a shooter. However, I cannot recomend in the current state. Matches are incredibly unbalanced, every match I've played has had me facing 60 lvl players who have maxed out their valiants and weapons, and I've barely played 10 matches. A lot of bots, which are ususally useless. For some reason, all automatic weapons have infite recoil and accesories add little bonuses to correct it. Certain maps and points clearly benefit the defenders, making it impossible to attack and take points, while others are almost impossible to defend. Seen many complaints about the new valiant. I haven't played enough to say if it's true, but everytime I've seen half my team die in less than 10 seconds, its been a croc, so there might be some truth to it. I like the game and the idea it has for gameplay, but would advise not to buy until it gets a bit more polished.

*This review is from first session after watching this game since release, there are people who cover this games problems extensively that would just be me parroting their points. This is more a season 2 release positives and my two cents on other things.* This game feels fun, looks nice, can be fun, but it is atrocious in terms of game modes and balancing. I played right before the season 2 release but have watched friends streams of this game to get the general idea and decide to buy this game on sale. The pros of season 2 are as follows: Characters +The entirety of the base roster is available from jump (they said they will refund wildcoins for past character purchases and used for cosmetics) later down the road. But -Season 1 character medic is still only unlocked after level 8 of the first season pass speaking of which... Battlepass +Battlepasses so far look permanent meaning you can go back to a season which is a HUGE plus here. The other plus is the character is available from the jump which is very good. Its very good to be able to come back to a past battlepass and take your time when you want to rather than grinding it before it ends. -Same as above about the cat medic but its early and may change the position. Achivements -I don't know if this is a recurring problem before season but I only did two matches and unlocked 25+ (33 at time of writing) achievements for kills, revives, point captures, etc. Had to look at this when I got 3 hour map achivements and literally played for 69 minutes (nice). The above positive points shows the dev team does listen to the criticisms and show they are willing to work on those. But other than all that... The major gripe the dev team does with this game is make this game PvP only focused where they fill the lobbies with bots to fill in the slowly bleeding out player population while not even having a dedicated players vs bots game modes for the TWO ONLY AVAILABLE GAME MODES besides when they allow you to play a scheduled team deathmatch. While I enjoy medium to large-scale pvp games, I do like to have a more casual mode at times in games like this. Small Indie PvP games always have a problem when they do this (Example Crowfall that game was fun but did not last long due to this) and large scale pvp only games that failed to add some kind of practice bot mode like Gundam Evolution. I don't think the solution to this player problem is the FTP argument per-say but it is still iffy paying money then more for FTP gimmicks that is iffy. Skins are decently priced, some furries will play this game for the characters alone, but most people from looking at discussions is adding some sort of coop campaign and/or a player vs bots match while adding the option to play pvp so if the game does go below 100 players eventually after the post nut clarity of season 2 wears off or season 3 turns out to be a letdown, it would keep people at least playing the game with some enjoyment and buying the next swimsuit skin when it pops up (please give ULY a better one than just a summer recolor). All in all, I think the dev team is cooking here with this game they are listening to some criticisms but they are still cooking at low heat in a tiny frying pan when the game should be in a Wok pan with full fire roaring if they want to wow people and get more eyes on this. Season 2 shows this but they need the rest of this season to either add something like a Bot match mode and not wait for season 3 to make this correction. The bots are already there there are no excuses. I would recommend this game but in this games current state as of now, I just cannot. For more in depth reviews, look at other reviews on this game. I will still play this game because when I finally got to play it and having a blast but I do not see myself playing more than thirty minutes to an hour once a week in its current state.

If you have any questions about this game before you buy it. feel free to comment on this review and I'll try answering them for you.
The Game and Graphics

Gameplay and playable content

Game modes and player numbers
The game modes are just point control and that's it as TDM is time gated for whatever reason acting like games haven't had multiple game modes always open, but that is a trend nowadays. So the game becomes mostly repetitive and doesn't provide much for the start which is probably why the game has about 364 players max (More then Tower Unite since those numbers stay consistent at least) but this does cause a problem of matches not being the best to get into, TDM just opened as I am writing this and I couldn't get into a match it said 1/8 needed, I seen it go 2/8 then after a while back to 1 so it seems no one is on TDM, specially since 344 people are playing which is pretty much the whole player base so this game doesn't look like it's doing well.
Gameplay
The game play feels stiff, and the main appeal I remember for this game (other then the characters being anthro for furries) was that the animal they are effects the character, so a rabbit would be fast and jump high, a skunk would use it's stink spray as a weapon, and a bull would charge with it's horns and be tanky, though the game somewhat does this, it feels like not by much and sometimes like some characters don't at all or it's an after thought. I kind of feel like the game should of been a bit more out there with the movement and not be so stiff and to the ground, have some more traversal game play, like high areas for Rabbit characters to jump up on high places and climb stuff, other characters could do the same if their race fits it, it would make the combat a bit more dynamic and be a bit better for classes like the sniper which doesn't really have any good spots to snipe from, I think there is like only 2 maps and they don't add anything to stand out from each other.
Maps
at the start there seemed to be only 2 maps, at least that was all I could play, now season 2 is out I have played 2 extra maps, 1 being some military place that seems kind of boring and dull and the other being a desert with open areas and junk laying about for cover, I actually like this one as it makes sniping useful since it's pretty much useless in every other map, though the weird thing is I'm pretty sure this desert map was in the promo for this game, so why wasn't it at launch and added in season 2?
Systems that feel useless
Healing and reviving seem kind of pointless, no one revives anyone and healing just feels like a waste of time, I played as the Cat girl and the amount of times I would use her glove to revive someone with some distant and they instantly die because they get up with bugger all health or you just get gunned down, I found that it was better to just not even bother and just focus on killing as I would revive someone to either die again or kill 1 person where I would take out a whole lot, just seemed like it was better to focus on gunning people down instead, plus when you're down no one bothers to get you, they walk past and why should they, the reviving and healing just seems pointless, It's better to kill yourself and respawn and get straight back into the fight. Sniping just seems pointless other then 1 map, most of the 4 maps are just close combat and those that have open areas just have no one there as there are buildings near by better to bundle around at, the desert map is the only one that has large open areas and sight lines with junk scattered about for cover, though I do think there needs to be more advantage points that are higher as most of the games combat feels levelled despite having areas with some elevation like the bridges and some buildings
Hacking problem or a balancing issue?
At this point I can't fully tell but you will see people walking left to right one shoting people with a weapon that doesn't one shot, or somehow a match you was dominating suddenly 180's as now everyone on your team drops in 1 shot all of a sudden where originally they didn't. keep in mind my match was full of Russians so it could most likely be hackers. Either way it's just boring to spend ages seeing hit markers then some guy with a weapon that isn't that powerful walks left and right on the spot and you die to 1 bullet, either way something needs to be fixed.
Graphics

Visuals
The game feels like a phone game ported to PC, graphically it looks it as well, it's a clutter of a game when in combat which makes sense since it seems like an Asian game which usually have no visual clarity and mostly become visual clutter, it's not the worst but give it time when they add over the top stuff and it will be. I also discovered that when you put the graphics to the max with the fur stuff and everything this doesn't fully mean the game and means the menu screen, in game the characters look a little dulled down, for example the skunk girl, in the menu and victory screen she has full on fur and everything, the model looks really good, but in game I noticed though her clothe textures look good, her fur on her face was flat and nothing like the menu one, making her look really off and kind of goody now she had no fluf to her, the more I play and look at the graphics of characters and the environment the more It looks like a phone game and the PC port doesn't let you funny use the power of your PC which is a shame as I have a high end PC and want to see this game put to the text on max but despite everything is set to extreme, it doesn't look like it much.
Monetisation and the BattlePass

The BattlePass

Signs of FOMO
I take this part back, I said the game had FOMO and the battlepass ended and that was it, but I found out I was wrong, you can actually go back and select the old battlepass if you want like in Halo Infinite, you know what, props to the devs on this one, good job, I take back what I said at this part and apologise, do more stuff like that please!
Monetisation

Monetisation and the future of it
The game's monetisation so far is paying for the BattlePass, and paying for 2 cosmetic packs, though looking at the other stuff in the game there are things that look like what phone games or free to play games monetise, stuff like weapon XP things you can use, so don't know if down the like they will put a price on them in the store, either out of a need from the price of the game and not making much money with the small amount that play this game or what (Little Update, there is a shop for cosmetics, to by a skin for the character and a weapon as well as a Profile pic, player card and an Emote, it's £15, so the usual for games nowadays, this isn't free to play yet, which would soften this, all I think of when I see modern games sell stuff like this for £15 to £20 maybe even £30, is around the 360/PS3 era, you would get all this for £3 to £5, do with that as you will just thought to let people know)
Little Extras

Overall thoughts
Overall the game is disappointing and it's a shame as I was really interested in this game, I'll probably pop on and play more from time to time but the game doesn't really feel like it has anything to keep players around much, maybe making the combat a bit more better with more traversal and gameplay to the characters and some extra game modes that aren't time gated, I would say have a big map game mode with vehicles and big combat like battlefield a bit, but the player numbers would be a problem since what the game has already they can't get any other game mode going. There is more to be said but I will add more as time goes on.
Joke...or is it?
What this game needs is a thick cow girl with massive milkers, that will 100% save this game
