Just when I was thinking "Ok yeah this is cute. Maybe starting to feel like it's a little overly simple, but I like it!" it snagged me and took me for a ride I had to see to the end, and even when it was over I was still doing whatever I can to dig up more.

Mousebusters is another fantastic game from Odencat. The pixel art is absolutely charming, packed with personality and detail, and the soundtrack perfectly balances the game's spooky, cozy, and emotional moments. Every apartment and resident feels distinct, making exploration consistently enjoyable.
The ghost-busting gameplay is surprisingly fun as well. The shooting segments add a welcome burst of action to the adventure and puzzle-solving, with satisfying boss encounters that keep your buttons tapping to save the apartment complex!
Longtime Odencat fans will also appreciate the cameos and references to the studio's other games, which makes the world feel connected and rewarding to explore. And while Mousebusters delivers plenty of humor and charm, it's the emotional storytelling that truly stands out. The game's themes of insecurity, loneliness, and healing are handled with the same heart that made Odencat's previous titles so memorable.
Cute, funny, heartfelt, and consistently engaging, Mousebusters is another reminder of why Odencat has become one of my favorite indie developers. Highly recommended,

The idea of finding yourself unexpectedly transformed as soon as you've moved to a new residence is an interesting one to dig into. Immediately finding yourself pulled into a ghost-hunting conspiracy is a good way to distract yourself from the stress, though introduces a whole new thing to worry about. Getting to learn a bit about the other tenants at the start before things get more intense is also a good way to have us care more about them as the game continues.
Gameplay-wise, Mousebusters has a collection of minigames and a combat system built around shooting down ghosts and their projectiles. I think they work well as a means of adding some depth to the story, especially since ones like the Ramen-creation one allows for experimentation and making different outcomes if desired.
All-in-all, a fun experience so far. I'm looking forward to seeing where all of the intermingling characters, plot, and minigame mechanics will build up from where I'm currently at.

A nice and short game with cute mice, nice characters and cool looking monsters.
The writers did not shy away from making something meaningful and i respect their balls for it.
I did not expect to get emotions from the silly spooky mice game, and thank you for not retconning anything with a 100% ending scene and comitting to what you wrote.
The reward for collecting everything was a nice callback tho, and rather heartwarming <3
