As a former irl Paranormal Investigator, I approve this for best equipment, investigative process, and spirit questioning realism from any game. If you've ever wanted to know what it's really like, this game is the closest and is far more entertaining and safer than the real thing. As the famous Phasmophobia Youtuber Insym stated, "It is not about jumpscares. It is not about running for your life. It is all about the story of a ghost and it is such a unique experience to play this game, and this one right here is even better than Conrad Stevenson's Paranormal P.I." This game, like its predecessor from the same solo developer, revolves around legitimate paranormal investigation. Don't worry about the vast majority of negative comments, as they either lack understanding of the game's style or have a potato PC. I rate it 9.99/10 bc toilets aren't flushable. I found the tutorial difficult, but that's just the learning curve. The interface can feel un-natural/not user friendly at first, but it isn't an issue once you learn how to use it. Once I finished the tutorial, I had a good understanding of the game and it was smooth sailing after that. If you have lag, you need to turn your settings down. If some textures are failing (ex: potato mode looking portraits, carpets, or equipment in manager mode), turn on V-Sync and reload and you'll never have to worry about it again. Just wanted to show some love to the amazing developer, now I'm headed back to the game.

This is a great spin on Conrad Stevenson's. If you liked Conrad, you would probably like this game.

its a good ghost investigation game!! I do prefer Conrad Stevenson's paranormal P.I. but this game does have some fun mechanics to it that makes me hyped for future games from this dev!!! Worth the price!!

Absolutely fantastic loving it so far! great successor to CSPPI

The map beautiful, but it is far too big and way too confusing to navigate alone. The gameplay is alright, but a bit awkward to get used to at first. All in all, the game is okay, but it could use a bit more polish before I will be returning to it.

i encountered a bug that messed up my run, so i went to the discord and submitted a bug report fully expecting to get called stupid. the dev took notice and had it fixed by the next day. great community, awesome dev, and fun game! i do think it's import to note that this game is pretty hard to learn at first, the tutorial is pretty good but i had to watch a youtuber play it to understand how you're actually meant to investigate the ghosts. i've really enjoyed my time with the game so far, and i'll update the review after i reach 100% completion.

As of posting this review, I am currently at around the Chapter 3 mark of progression. This is a genuinely fun, scary, well developed ghost investigation game that stands out against its predecessor in some ways, and falls short in others. It is NOT perfect - but I'd still recommend it to anyone looking for a genuinely atmospheric ghost experience. I do appreciate the game's mechanic of cycling your items out of a backpack, and having to manage holding and putting down different items in your left/right hand. It's a unique control scheme, but it can and probably WILL, at some point, be frustrating. I have now played for thirty hours and still fumble with the controls at times. Ghosts are only active until 6am, and the mansion's clocks tick down the time - but Stephanie also carries a smartwatch, tablet AND laptop and none of these devices have the current time on them, making it something you have to consciously be aware of via checking the mansion's clocks, which is a strange but mostly harmless design choice. Timed investigations are an OPTIONAL mechanic that can be turned off in the settings - but considering the default, intended experience is to have it on, I feel like this is something that most players will be confused by at some point. There is also a great deal of navigating through the long, quiet rooms of the mansion in search of the ghosts' personal items. Stephanie cannot sprint / quicken her step, which I understand is probably to keep the tone of the game but can and does have you noticing at times how long you've been walking for. Combine this with the above time constraint and I found myself worried or pressured at the long walks during some nights - which in reality would have me hustlin' down the hall faster, but that's okay. - None of the above notes are things I actually dislike about the game, but together they do accumulate into a noticeable collection of what kind of begin to feel like... inconveniences, given that the map is always the same large (but familiar) mansion. I miss Conrad - but I really like Stephanie, and I'd recommend this game to anyone looking for a genuine ghost hunting experience. Just be warned - the learning curve and little game quirks will not be for everyone, and may take a bit of patience to break through. By FAR my favorite element of these games is the compassion shown to the ghosts - appealing to the people they were and helping them pass with kindness keeps the mood somber and meaningful. That's something that gets lost in other ghost hunting games, and is what keeps me coming back to this one <3
