A pretty fun game. I believe that with time, it has potential to be truly great. I've played during the playtest before release so I do have more time than stated.
TLDR: if you're on the edge about it, pick it up! It is pretty fun, and while it does have its issues, the Dev is working pretty hard on it!
Likes:
The two characters that I have played are very unique and make me excited for more to be added / me to unlock others
The art style is great!
The upgrade system is very unique
Music is great!
Its very satisfying to kill bugs. Also the enemy variety is great
I love a good skill tree
The developer communication is great. You can tell that he truly cares about this game and its community.
Dislikes / Nitpicks (Listed from most to least important):
With you being able to downgrade skill trees for each character, it becomes optimal to downgrade the characters you're not playing down to the minimum and then spend all your currency on the one you plan to play. It makes me not want to try new characters because I'll have to lose my upgrades on my other character. Either making upgrades permanent, or having a way to save builds in the skill tree should fix this.
I find myself avoiding some mission types more than others, such as the "Computer Glitches" mission type. I don't think this is an issue with the missions themselves, rather I think it is that I do not fully understand the pros and cons of each mission type.
I would like some way to get further into runs. I feel like I'm only playing the beginning of missions much more than the later bits.
I don't feel a large sense of progression. Other than unlocking new characters and their skill trees, It doesn't feel like I'm doing anything to actually curb the about of bugs on the internet. This could just be that the story isn't completed, or that you are given 3 star missions from the start.
I haven't found any use for coins besides the one mission that requires you to collect them.
Overall, if you're on the edge about it, pick it up! I believe that it is honestly a great investment

Ill be honest, pretty solid BUT, be prepared for a more rogue-lite experience, and its more like you're playing Deep Rock Galactic in terms overall loop, I came in expecting a more hardcore R-Like experience, but this is a great casual game, I recommend it for anyone who is looking to just drop in for 5-10 min. A wee bit of polish and this game would be a 13/10 banger.

"OMG, this game is hella fun! 🌟
Visuals? On point. 🎨✨
Effects? Mind-blowing. 💥🤯
Music? Catchier than the common cold. 🎶😆
But let's talk about the real MVP... THE GREEN ROBOT! 🤖💚
His comments? ROFL. 😂 Legit made me lose a few times 'cause I couldn't stop laughing.
10/10 would laugh-lose again. 👌💯

The game is pretty good, even though i dont normally like meta progression in roguelikes its better in this game because of the mission system, which makes the game feel more like a looter shooter or something along those lines.
The only thing i have a slight problem with is that the music (which is fairly enjoyable to listen to btw) is AI, when purchasing the game i did not know about this, although the dev has said on the discord that they are planning to add a disclaimer on the store page. I am also willing to ignore it because theyre a solo dev and music is hard.
If you're fine with or atleast dont mind the AI usage its a great game, especially for the price.

I recommend!
This type of game is usually not my type however I paid for it at a fair price and followed it's development for a good while and was immediately struck with the fun and quirky graphical style. Trying it when it released to early access I had a couple of hours of great fun with it.
Only two things I would consider detractors are how difficult the game can be with it's randomness, and how enemies will spawn in the worst spaces sometimes. Otherwise I find the game to be fun and enjoyable for short time wasting.

The gameplay is addictive, I love the diversity between the characters. The music is awesome too, for some reason I enjoyed the audio player along with the the mini game. Challenging and fun gameplay, awesome music, polished art, a lot of content and upgrades. Love it !

The core gameplay loop is fun and addicting. Visual theme is enticing and the UI feels good to use. For a single Independent Game Developer to publish this in around ~7 months is an astonishing feat of discipline. With that said, the game wants your money so now its time to take a critical glance at District Panic (Early Access).
The tutorial popups were annoying and should be able to be individual skipped with a key or mouse press.
Getting pushed back slightly when firing at a mob is a nice touch. It means the player doesn't have to keep tapping the movement key.
I don't understand why I'm doing these things in game. A small introductory slideshow with a couple artworks and subtitles would go a long way in explaining the game's context.
I checked the keybinding settings and tried pressed my special ability with clawmarks, but was never able to use my special ability. I think the character specific special ability should be available from the very start, without having to upgrade the skilltree.
Enemy counter is spelled wrong. "Remaning" should be "Remaining".
Kill multiplier has no effect on the coin drop rate. The player should be rewarded somehow.
The Upgrade, Downgrade tooltips were opposite of the action buttons. green colour in the Skilltree is used to indicate something that is activated, while green in the Tooltip is used to indicate a key that is not pressed; They need to match up.
Visual hierarchy of blue enemy bullets is too similar to gems. red fire, red explosions and red bullets should be an easily identifiable colour meaning danger; Not blue.
Level 1 should not be that hard for a new player as it took me 5 tries. Maybe reduce the required coins to 300.
You can't press escape to get out of the music selection menu.
The upgrade menu between waves had unexpected offset hitboxes on clickable areas. Perhaps make the extruded blocks clickable as well. I think you can only click the top left block of an upgrade block when placing. Maybe make it able to place on any area that a block has.
Environment weapons like saws and lasers should damage randomly spawned boxes.
Giant brown wall enemies have too long of a range. It's out-sniping the sniper character.
