I got this with pretty high hopes, I've heard such good things, seen such good creations, I know I don't have a ton of time in it at time of review, but I don't think I need to for this I'm really sad to say, this software wants to be a game and a software at the same time, and kind of fails at both "just the basics" doesn't mean better, in fact, I feel like I struggle more in this engine because of it, and it's not because it's trying to be simple, I love pixel art, I wanted to love this software and be able to use it in my workflow, but it's so clunky and hostile and feels like it doesn't even want to deliver a good simple and easy user experience my point isn't that this is a bad premise, but a bad tool, this can and should be done better than it is here, and I desperately want to see that happen so I can have a practical tool I can use, take some notes from aseprite's interface and approach, and if you've worked on this, please don't be discouraged by my words, you can do better, and you should, please take another shot at this, do some playtesting for lack of a better word, and figure out how you can make something better than this, capable of doing just as much if not more, with more ease, because I sincerely want and need that in my life, but for now, this is not that, which is very saddening to me
