Ahh finally... Eastern Fronts conclusion... The end. Starting off in Poland, into France and the Benelux, from the Balkans to the edge of Moscow... Stalingrad, Kharkov, Minsk and so many other places... And now here we are at the end of all things, leaving the Polish cities behind to defend the Fatherland. One last fight from Koenigsberg to Berlin. A final stand. Of course you get to play with all the fun toys too... Horton 229s, Arado's, Maus... Its kinda funny how the campaing started as usual and by the end, in Berlin I felt like I was just watching the AI play. It has so many units the AI's turns take so long.
+Fun missions and maps.
+New toys to play with! Jets and finally the Maus tank.
+/- Even on the easiest difficulty the campaing is still SUPER HARD. The Russians will not give you a break. They have so many troops that the AI takes centuries to finish its turn. But... I'm not as mad at it as I was in the previous campaing. Its the end of the war after all, its fun to look back and see how things changed throughout the campaing missions.
Its a hard but fun campaing. Its fun to see how we went from small maps with some units on both sides, early war vehicles to huge maps, 50 units for you and god knows how many for the Russians, jets and Maus tanks... Its still super hard, the game is just hard in general or maybe I just suck but like the campaings were hard sure but it just gets harder and harder as the campaing goes on and this is the final nail in the coffin, its truly incredible how many units Russians have compared to you. Its sad to see your veteran, really experienced units that have been fighting for a super long time get encircled and destroyed by the never ending Russian waves. Even though the difficulty is too much for me its still fun and doable (on the easiest difficulty at least, good luck in any other difficulty setting)

The DLCs are completely optional, so you are not missing out or have to purchase anything in order to get the 'full' experience. However, having played through this Grand Campaign, I can say it was definitely worth the price.
The reason I choose this particular DLC to do the review though is because this is probably the best of the bunch though (with 44 East just behind). Even on easier difficulties, you`ll find yourself trying desperately to hold on, managing your armies and hoping you just have enough points to even pull through. Berlin in particular will provide the toughest of challenges. And if you somehow, *somehow*, manage to beat back the Russians... the game will thank you. No really, it will.
An enjoyable DLC, all around.

I LOVE Panzer Corps and always thought that it is a well made, realistic game. This DLC however is a true masterpiece! I have an army that has been with me since 39 DLC. 45 East first kicked me in the balls and then punched my teeth out...
Grim reality of late war on the Eastern Front may not be for everyone but played on hard is trully a rewarding experience!
There is something strangely cool about desperate fighting withdrawals or seeing your belowed units mauled by waves upon waves of Sovitet airstrikes. Definitelythe best Eastern Front DLC.
