Rajas of India expands on th- sorry... Creates the Indian continent as well as Indian rulers. As it turns out before Rajas of India was a DLC the Indian subcontinent just didn't exist in game. So you get a pretty big map extension, new leaders, new mechanics, new UI for Indian leaders, new religions... Honestly seems like a lot. I do know that Paradox adds the "good stuff" in a DLC and releases free patches along with their DLCs so people who don't buy whatever is released can still get a taste of the "goodies" and watch as the AI uses all those new goods while the player is unable to use them without buying the DLC first. So from what I'm understanding before this DLC and the free patch that came with this DLC the Indian subcontinent wasn't on the map. After this DLC was released the Indian subcontinent, rulers, religions and all their mechanics was introduced on the map but if the player wanted to play on the Indian subcontinent, as an Indian ruler and take part in the Indian religions they would need to buy the DLC. AI is obviously free of all this issues, they can use any system they want. To them it doesn't matter what DLC you own. If you disabled this DLC and reverted the game to the patch that was being used before this DLC was released you could probably see how the old map looked. I won't bother trying that myself but you can. +Pretty big map extension. An entire new subcontinent as well as the Indian Ocean. +New places, titles, counties, duchies and so on within this new area. +New rulers, their religions and new mechanics, events for them to play with. +According to the Wiki a small rework of Eastern Africa was done along with this DLC. +Enhancing older mechanics in the game and small Quality of Life updates, free for everyone thanks to the free patches that Paradox released alongside new DLCs. +Steam workshop and matchmaking which is crazy enough that I'll list it as its own positive note in the review. I'm surprised these weren't in the game before but thankfully they are here now and have been here for a long time. This DLC was released in 2014 after all. Pretty damn good considering the amount of things it adds. Expanding into the Indian subcontinent with all its religions, rulers, titles, duchies, kingdoms, cultures and so on as well as adding parts of Siberia and Central Asia with their titles, duchies, counties, cultures and so on is pretty cool. I wouldn't really consider these places fundamental for a game about the Crusades and that general time period so having a DLC expand into these places for fun is nice.
