It is one of the best video edit apps. It is very cost-effective and useful. It is so proffessional, so it will take some time for you to learn it. I've bought it for less than 100$ which is worth it. Dont look to other programs which needs yearly payment. This gives you lifetime licence. Don't waste your time with crack or torrent. Just buy it and it is yours forever. My rating: 9,9/10 Awesome!!!

Lacks some good effects from normal Vegas Pro, but remains is clearly enough for doing the job. I wish there was a good blur that didn't suck. Also, good to shock all your friends out there, since they see the price! Unfortunately, can't into real 4k out of the box. Youtube grabs best video from here as 1440.Must modify manually.

If you're serious about video editing, you want either After Effects, Vegas Pro, or both. After Effects is more geared towards super fancy effects editing, and don't get me wrong, it can do some amazing stuff if you've got the magic touch. Vegas, on the other hand, is perfect for more common usage; editing clips together, adding video and audio filters, tiling, crossfading, transitions, text and image overlay, etc. For me, Vegas turned the former nightmare of video editing and exporting into something I actually find easy. It's just a bit system intensive once a project is underway, I've seen older versions crash from time to time (and the project autorecovery only sometimes works), but it's far and away the most impressive and reliable of the Sony software products I've tried. I would recommend getting the Lagarith Lossless codec to export with and running the final project through an external program like (freeware) MeGUI if you want it to look its best, as Vegas tends to chew up the quality a bit with its included codecs. As a note to the cost savvy: Owning Movie Studio 13 Platinum on Steam will qualify you for a 25% discount on Vegas Pro which, as of time of this writing, DOES stack with other discounts.

From my first view at this program i did'nt want to get this at full Price , Because their was No Demo, Looking at this at First is overwhelming if you havint used Movie maker in 4-6 Years. But from the Help of the support Devs. I would Reccomend Buying it at Full Price , $225 is what i Paid. If you can get it Cheaper jump on it, The Disscussions on Steam i gotten reponses from devlopers in half a hr, if their was something i could'nt understand they would make differnt ways to show me They even made a Gif Explaining on what to do. Great Program If you know what you are doing , If not. I highly Suggest that You go looking up Videos Before Jumping into this . Note that Hitfilm will Most likely Come to steam as well as they Do work Togerher. -Pros Does Whats Needed. Rendering Time is Great Compaired to Other Programs Devs Respond Quickly to Help , Made a gif in my case to help me , as i did not know how to open two instances of the Program. Great Snapping & Fx Placement. -Cons Can Freeze at Points No demo Ui Stops responding at times & you must minimize than maximimize At some points. UPDATING REVIEW CONSTANTLY THIS IS TEMPORY

Vegas is honestly the best editing software I have found because it offers so much. The price may be high, except during a sale, you shouldn't think twice about buying.

A great editing software. After getting a refund on Movie Studio Platinum for not even starting, I did go for a more expensive program, but it was worth it. You have a wide range of features such as, fading your footage in and out, animating your text, zoom ins and outs, just loads more. I recommend this, not because of its features however, but because of its stability. It runs smooth, renders without a problem and it is set out great. The only problem I deal with, is when editing, sometimes the footage will not display on the preview screen or the trimmer. But a simple restart fixes that.

Really awesome and fun so far. It has a lot of effects for my editing desires, and I just downloaded the ones that it doesn't include, and they work fine. If you're currently using Movie Studio Platinum 13, and are looking for something better (more involved editing), I highly advise that you buy this. It includes things like Velocity and Masking which are honestly really cool to mess about with. If price is a problem, just wait for a Steam sale. I bought it when it was 60% off, and it's been one of the best decisions I've made as of late. The only thing you should be wary of is getting this can be a litle overwhelming if you haven't already used Movie Studio, but there are plenty of Youtube tutorials for people like me who are easily confused. If you are a fanvidder like me, it's a great step up!

Update: Magix bought Sony's old line(Sony kept Catalyst and maybe Spectralayers). Nobody knows anything yet, by I have a guess. I'm guessing it's a replay of Adobe and Macromedia. Most likely Magix will be replacing their own products with the Sony products they just bought. The method worked very well for Adobe, so why wouldn't Magix do the same thing? This Vegas Pro version might be the last version with Japanese language as an option, though. Why did Sony do this? Well, given that I just saw a 3D movie from Disney that said Sony 4K on it last week in the movie theater, I'm going to take a wild guess that Sony needs more hands free to keep their professional customers happy. Original Review: This is the real deal. Vegas Pro Edit is a Vegas Pro without the free keys for 3rd Party Plugins and addtional DVD menu software. In other words... this chain editing, image sequence importing, audio workstation, blend mode happy, rotoscope lovin', image manipulating, clipboard color correction comparing, animation path setting, fx fiddling, automatic sound recording video editor is Vegas. It's outstanding. The problems with Vegas Pro aren't related to the capability, more to it being so blasted good at being a jack of all trades, it was getting ignored because it wasn't focused enough. Sony needed to make a video editor that was focused on only video editing and said hello to the newer market of Mac users and so Sony did. But, I'll tell you this... if you want a single program that can do sound editing, image editing, image sequence importing for animation, video editing, and fx fiddling.. then you want Vegas Pro.
