Looks fun, practically dull. Confusing mechanism, player base is declining rapidly, not worth the time, go play AMONG US.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME AS OF RIGHT NOW THE DEVS DO NOT CARE ABOUT IT. I loved this game, I have played hours into this game but after their major update it went to trash. They have hackers who can crash the game as soon as you start a session whether its hidden or private session. The hackers will target you no matter what you do. I have screenshots of said DEVS genuinely showing they do not care about it. Don't get me started on the lag and CPU usage that is atrocious.

Game has a lot of un-fun aspects that have been there since day 1. Instead the devs decided to focus on cosmetics. Music still doesn't have its own Audio setting, It's been a year and the audio tab is still largely a "work in progress". You still don't know at the end of a game who the dissident was, multiple times with friends we had games end and not knowing who the dissident was and who can blame them? The UI is also horrid in telling you because for some reason they decided to make the dissident indicator white (and have the employee text be there as well), just make it red or another standout color FFS, I can tell the color of my own characters from the FPS hands. In every other social deduction game there is a clear in your face indicator of you being the bad guy (even after the starting title screen where most of us grab a snack and run back when we hear the round start music), a part of the UI that is hard to ignore but in Lockdown Protocol the "Dissident" indicator is so in place, so mundane and so basic in design that it is absolutely normal that someone would tune it out as just useless text filling up the screen, And at the end of those other games you also know who the impostor/mafia/deceiver/whatever was, there are like 3 whiteboards with the discord logo in Lockdown Protocol, just have 1 display a list of dissidents of the last round instead. The computers task is still a bullshit slot machine that sometimes sends and accepts your file sometimes it doesn't and sometimes it fucking fails 10 times in a row, Mundane tasks are a thing in most social deception games but this one is straight up frustrating and thanks to the nature of the game, unavoidable, even if there is no dissident sabotaging (there never is, the task is just that dumb), the file can fail in the sending stage instantly. it is basically the Delivery task but it can randomly fail for no reason. If you want a rework use a hash of like 4 Hexadecimal characters that you need to check on the second computer and if it isn't the correct one you need to press No so it automatically requests a new file with a new 4 hex "checksum" you have to compare, this would turn it into a skill check that the dissident can pretend to fail instead of a task that for a god forsaken reason self sabotages. I once had to deal with this file error bullshit when I was the last employee standing, which dragged out the session stupendously long. This just should not be a thing. The default controls of this game are also designed by someone who has clearly, never in their live, played a game. E for swapping items in your inventory? For real? The universal interact keybind in games to pick up items or press a button and someone decided to bind it to swapping your inventory slots? Were they drunk? Or high? But it gets better for some asinine reason, the heavenly bodies of the bad default key binding constellation aligned so they decided to bind mouse wheel up and down to voice activate and deactivate, which is a key bind that in a million other games would be to swap weapons / invetory items (reminder in this game that is for some fucking reason: E). To add to this, for some reason there still isn't a keybind at all to drop items or a split for interact/pickup and use/fire, we have 4 keybinds related to voice ..... but interact/pickup is set to the same keybind as use/fire/melee? And drop just doesn't have a keybind, you need to bring up the tablet which okay, funny to force dropping on accident, but feels plain stupid if you want to do it with intention. So no can't recommend this game, other players I play with as well always get extremely frustrated at its faults so people rarely want to play it more than once a month. And sessions are also relatively short as the burn out arrives quickly.

Its fun yes, but i get kicked almost instantly after a cheater joins and leaves and im that same color they assume its the same person, OR if im just wanting to play itll be "sit in a lobby for 3 hours after 1 game that you were a ghost in the whole time". I do recommend it if you are willing to wait for another game, but otherwise i just havent had much fun on my second playthrough. Will be purchasing this again in the future to see if it gets any better.

This could be a fun game. Once there are more settings available around weapon spawns it will be good, but until then I cannot recommend this as the updates go against a lot of what the user base is asking for. I understand some updates take longer than others but there is no need to add a bunch more before adding in the things that people want.

I've had this game for a while and always loved it. But I highly don't recommend wasting your money on it now. too many hackers. Its not even possible to play the game before someone joins and ruins the lobby by blowing everyone up. The creators aren't doing anything to fix it. How are you supposed to enjoy a game you cant even play anymore because the creators refuse to fix the problem? don't buy. Sorry to anyone who didn't get to enjoy the game before it went down the crapper.

Very fun game but I hopped on after a bit of a break and it's basically unplayable due to hackers going around crashing lobbies, hope that gets patched before more skins are added

Hackers ruin this game. They hop into lobbies and crash them over and over. Specifically two players, "THE REAPER" and "Citizen" The game is so fun but the hackers come in every few rounds and mess it all up.

The developers are unserious people, which leaves you questioning if this game is just streamerbait or directionless. Besides the rampant cheating or releasing paid cosmetics in a paid early access game (which by themselves should be huge deal breakers), I think the developers have inadvertently created other problems. Primarily, they have failed to grow the community required to sustain a multiplayer game. So far, moderation behavior has included: - banning mod creators - banning people reporting on cheaters because the proof "showed too much" - creating a completely sanitized environment on channels that stifles any interesting discussion on development - refusing to engage with the community, instead preferring to "strong-arm" community direction - developers admitting on discord to outright rejecting to work on anti-cheat now or the near future I do not believe it is purposeful malevolent behavior driving these decisions; in fact, the developers do try to be transparent by releasing roadmaps and other tidbits. But without engaging effectively with the community, they have hampered any organic growth, not to mention raising doubts when releasing paid cosmetics while cheaters routinely crash your games. On a positive note, it is very apparent that very talented people work on the game, and the consistent and clean aesthetic is very appealing, and most likely the game's strongest point. There are also tutorials for each "minigame" which, while somewhat confusing, show concern for the player experience, which I greatly appreciate :). Overall, if you have too much money to spend, this game is fun for an afternoon with your friends. But other than that, I advise moderating your expectations, as the current consensus is that this game is dead.
