I bought this, thinking I could jump in and start making simple stuff.... oh boy was I wrong... Not only were the tutorials horrid for beginners, but they didn't even cover everything. I basically feel I wasted money... Steam should do a better job at explaining that this is NOT intuitive. I was fooled, and wasted practically a 100 bucks... not happy.

MSMS 2014 - is a pretty good and user-friendly tool 4 music creation.
But, get ready to:
1) suffer - only 2 presets and no possibilities 2 load some more
2) pain - no drum mashine
3) pay some more 2 upgrade to MSMS 2015
10 dirty jews out of 10.
Better buy MSMS 2015.

Good DAW with convinient interface for good price. Working with real instruments and vsti is pretty enjoyable. I recommend it for home studios and beginners. ^^But maybe it's better to look for newer version?

I bought this software over Sonar X3 because of the included extras like effects, Vita 2, and Beatbox 2 plus. Mainly I got it for Beatbox to inable me to build a song structure with drums, record my guitar and vocals, then have my other band members come in and lay down their tracks. The problem is, is that most of my songs are different time signatures like 3/4 time, which beatbox doesn't support. Now I'm going to have to spent another $50-$100 on more software. That's exactly what I was trying to prevent by buying this over the money pit that is Sonic X3. In the long run, I feel that with the extra money I'm going to spend on more software, I should have gotten the higher end products to enable me to do what I want to do. Unfortunatly, I can't recommend it.

This DAW is the best I ever used.
Although it looks complicated at first, after some tutorials you'll get the things going.
Since I had experienced its little brothers first (Magix Music Studio and Magix Music Studio 2), so I had no problems.
Once you learn how to use it, you'll have endless possibilities.
I use it for audio and midi recording and editing, loaded with thousands of different soundfonts, VST and FX, and it runs smoothly and stable. Way more stable than the Magix Music Maker.
The instruments that come packed are perfect for many situations and the preset fx are equally useful.
I recommend this for the people who are used to the Music Maker, want something more and have time to discover and get used to this really useful software.

If you are a musician and want to record your stuff this software is great.
I use a ZOOM R16 to record and do the master mixing with this software.
Fantastic sound quality and the effects I use work great.
The midi part and other things I haven't used, so I can't comment on that.
For mixing down you songs it is great!
