Very huge campaign. I am still working on it. If all victory are decisive, it will lead to invade Iraq and Soviet. So it is not only fight on North Africa.

I got recommend this one, great fun trying play in desert, I also like changes in colour as got so use to grays. If you like panzer corps then add this one probably one best DLC for panzer corps. Hard if you use only Italian units, so that can also add to challenge.

Afrika Korps campaing takes you into... You guessed it, Africa. You get to play as the Italians and the Germans fighting against the British, Americans and all the British Colonies in the desert. From Tobruk to all the way East, into India if you manage to decisively win most of your battles. +As usual I like the voice acting. +The different units are nice you get to see stuff that you didn't see in other campaings and being able to have a mix of both German and Italian units is fun. +Most of the DLC takes place in the desert. In other campaings you'd always have a mix of infantry and tanks with some other units too but in here its mainly tanks that you'll be using. They are just superior in the desert because its all just open ground. Its very fun to just roll through the enemy with Panzer 3s, 4s and towards the end Panthers, Tigers and King Tigers. -Some of the missions are confusing. Sometimes its super straight forward, sometimes I'm lost and have no clue whats going on. Half way through a mission your objectives can be updated and change and this is usually very straight forward but there are times where like you'll be told "oh we have an oppurtunity to attack some British supply depots, go to this location and find them" so you do that you destroy supply depots and... Well you have no clue if its over. The game didn't tell you how many there was and it doesn't tell you "you've done it!" after you kill them all so you might be aimlessly looking around for more, more that doesn't exist. -It crashed a few times. The crashes happen when the game decides "hey your missions are updated, go and do this instead of whatever you were told to do in the briefing." I suppose this mechanic is too much for the game to handle at certain times so it just gives you the "your missions are updated!" message and then crashes. -For some reason in one of the last missions the voice acting just cut off? Idk why, idk if it was a bug or something. After that mission was over the voice acting started again so I assume it was a bug. -The "random enemy planes (and even units this time) spawning on the edge of the map!" issue is back in full force. Enemy fighters, ground attackers, strategic bombers even entire enemy units that will capture a city in which the game will tell you "the enemies have captured one of our cities! You must go back and take it!" its obviously a scripted event but still. Its annoying. Its annoying to capture every airfield on a map, destroy all the planes you can find just to see 2 random planes spawn when you end your turn and immediately attack your units. You better hope your air units aren't low on strenght cuz if they are... Thats a free kill for the enemy. Its definitely a lot more scripted then the other campaings. Every now and then the game will just pop up a message and change your objectives entirely or give you extra ones while you're playing. It'll spawn enemy units and planes from the edge of the map just to attack the cities you already captured or attack random units they come across. Compared to the other campaings I've played so far this one definitely crashed the most so I'm assuming the entire scripted event mechanics... The game just couldn't handle it. Each time a message pops up, a scripted event happens my game would just crash which is annoying but its not the worst thing in the planet. Either way fun DLC.

I recently made the purchase of the Afrika Korps DLC after watching a series of youtube videos and falling back in love with what makes Panzer General II/Panzer Tactics/Panzer Corps a great wargame. This DLC is basically more of the same. If you liked the single player of Panzer Corps, then you will probably like this DLC. They've also made a few minor changes that improve the base game. My only critisms apply to the series overall. The difficultly and setup of the missions is such that you can't win, except at extremely low difficultlies, without savescumming. This is even more noticable in this DLC where mission objectives change during the mission forcing even good plans to be worthless. Also, if you like this buy Unity of Command. The true sucessor.

Excellent DLC. Some of the best scenarios to date. Also good if you like to lead the Italians to victory. A must for PC (or PG) fans.

I wanted to like this, but only in the fullness of a couple of days playing it did I realize I didn't. In fact it infuriated me in the end. First of all it's linear as heck. I beat the british decisively in every battle, got congratulated and then told in the next mission I would be fighting over the same terrain I just won over like 3 or 4 times. That got annoying. I captured Tobrok and then was told I had failed to capture it because, nope, the game doesn't care what you actually do it just goes in the same order roughly as history. Then the last straw was I played a mission and took every cap zone across the whole map (and Tobrok again), except one insignificant spot of random desert, and I lost. Now I wasn't about to spend another 2 hours or so replaying that whole mission again. Save scumming apparently is the only way to play this game if you don't want to risk wasting your time. It just pisses me off. Scenario design, or actually the basic game structure is simply not realistic... but it was fun at first until the game pissed me off by being stupid.
