At the time of writing this review, the game is more than ten years old. But that doesn't mean it can't still be enjoyable today. I've played a few horse riding games and most of them are pretty simple: you ride your horse, you run through checkpoints, you jump over obstacles. This game has all that, too, but the controls in this game are much more challenging. I've read a few reviews complaining about the game's controls but in my opinion the combination of using the mouse and the arrow keys is actually a pretty cool way to play this game. It is possible to play Cross Country and Jumping with the keyboard only but for Dressage the mouse is required and that discipline is really hard to learn in the beginning. But once you get the hang of it, it's really satisfying to complete a Dressage tournament, even if you still make mistakes here and there, because believe me, you will be making mistakes, getting a perfect Dressage score in the later tournaments seems almost impossible to me. But it's still a lot of fun trying to get it right. So, if you like horse riding games, you should definitely give this one a try, it's really unique.
