Just had my first session with this game and had to write a review already, this game is great. I wont lie at first I thought I was going to get bored or run out of things to do quickly, but nope, this game I could barely get myself to put down despite needing to sleep, its just so calming and relaxing but also addicting. Note its also a game great to play while high, really lets you sink in your seat. Plus its great for car guys who wanna make their car be theirs and just like long drives. Highly recommend and i'm surprised that it isn't more popular.

I'm just getting too bored to continue. It is very tedious, perhaps somewhat by design since it is about being on a long road trip.. but I was hoping for more interesting events and characters but instead I just keep finding myself getting annoyed and looking at the map and seeing how far away everything always is. I dunno, played a few hours and semi-enjoyed but I just can't see myself getting all the endings the way I had expected to want to when I heard about the game.

Road trip simulator meets introspective life-affirming odyssey by way of roadway puzzle battler? Beautiful pixel art style Great combination of gaming elements Unique idea and concept AMAZING SOUNDTRACK Fiercely recommend; this is a game made with love.

Didn't hit that itch for me in the end. Maybe I didn't play it long enough, but the downtime between encounters gets old, and the fact I got two repeat encounters within an hour made me feel like I had already seen all there is to see. The game is very good, I just don't think I'm the target audience. I would give this a neutral rating if it was possible

absolutely adored every minute of 100%ing this game. i love when games aren't trying to look hyper-realistic, but have their own charm. the story was fun, the characters were absolute characters, the gameplay fun in a puzzle kinda way, and there were tons of moments that really made my heart feel happy. while i've finished what's out (so far), i'm not going to uninstall it. because (forgive or don't forgive the cheesiness), you never know when you're going to chose to keep driving.

Took me a few runs to get the hang of the threat system and once you do you will love this little gem of a game. As someone who was taking road trips after high school in the early 2000's I must say this game hits a sweet spot for me. I enjoy the multiple endings and hope they continue to add characters, vehicles, and events for more replay value.

Great vibe, enjoyed every hour of it. If you consider it more as an art project, rather than a game, the primitiveness of the gameplay loop won't bother you too much. Just sit back, relax and enjoy the ride. Take it on sale 100% Wish I could go on a road trip like this, wish I could own a car in this economy...

Gorgeous game with what seems to be a great soundtrack, but never had first impressions of a gameplay loop put me off a game quite so quickly. Simple doesn't always mean bad, but after waiting for the aesthetically-necessary drive along idle phase, the actual gameplay of a basic symbol matching/removing puzzle was so disappointing I sort of lost motivation quickly. I'm sure it gets more complex as the game goes on, but its just not enough to warrant the price for me. Would make a fun little mobile game, perhaps, but not something I want to invest my time in.

The roadtrip you never had the courage of doing! Have you ever seen a still image from a game and wanted to play it sooo bad? Yea, this is one of these cases. That volvo with a racing paintjob and racing accessories blazing through traffic? Broooo. If you wanna read all of this blabbering, keep in mind that I will talk about the whole game and maibe spoil some mechanics, but well, that's a shame isn't it, you signed for it! After five months, with this game sitting on my wishlist, I decided to buy it in the summer sales. I usually prefer waiting a lot more, to get games dirty cheap, but this case a little discount already satisfied me. Bought it and started the game, as soon as the game booted up, I was shown these simple yet well done interface in pixel art. New game and I was inside, being introduced to this game that was set in the early 2000's, everything was impeccable, the menu's and specially the art, come on, the first scene as you are building your character, that shit looks amazing!! Anyway, now you already know the art looks amazing and gets you well ambientated within the game and the setting right? Moving on, as I can talk about the art for days, you start building your character. To be honest, I felt that it doesn't give you that many options, I mean, maybe throwing little changes in the portrait would be cool, I mean, it doesn't look hard with all the work they already done, and that would satisfy many people that would feel more connected to the game if they were playing with a black or latin person portrait instead of a white hippie, wouldn't it? About the background, the car, the ID afterwards, everything is perfect. I feel the game gives you enough choices in these areas and impels you to replay the game once or twice, at least for people that likes replaying games. Starting the journey, you see this interface that is a dashboard, pretty cool huh? You see the map, also cool, the trunk as you get your items and damn, everything is so detailed... I got impressed, you probably will too. And I'm talking about the art again right? Damn. Anyway, I started playing this with the xbox controller. Please don't do that. Go play it with mouse and keyboard, it will be much more fluid, and learn the shortcuts, it's worth it. Then, got on the road and got in a... traffic jam, or some sort of event that are the "enemies" part of this rpg element roadtrip game. It was confusing for me at first, but after a while, it becomes second nature and you will start blazing through some battles (had to restart the game 3 times as I was fucking up everything too early and getting frustrated, but when you understand... you understand!). On the road, I have to give props to the soundtrack, it's well done and getting cd's from randoms and friends you make on the road is pretty cool. Remembers me of other games that let you collect songs, such as MGS, and come on, when they are good songs instead of random items that you don't really care in the end, even better! The only thing it lacked is some sort of automatic autoplay to the next cd or something, I know, I know you had to replace manually every cd! But sometimes the music stopped and spent some time til I realized. And when you get on the next town, you see all sorts of things, gas station, stores, everything, it's well connected within the whole art and it's has simple mechanics, being quick and easy to get what you want and continue your roadtrip. Then you get some missions, hitchhikers, and start to get the hang of it. And as cool as some chats are, I feel that in some way it lacked interaction, I felt that it was underexplored, maybe we could chat and choose more. And some missions do start to feel kind of emotional rollercoasters, but only start, I mean, it could be more explored if there was more chats and interactions and become the whole ride, you know? And then, at the endgame, you see that maybe you should finish your journey and end the main quest. Your car is cool as fuck (as the customization in this game is pretty cool with a good selection of options, one of the parts that I enjoyed the most btw), you have some money to keep going and made some friends along the way. Now... you see that you have unlocked some things and that this game, due to the randomness of encounters, have much more to explore and stories to follow, as you left some main quests unfinished (as main quests end the game, heads up!). You have unlocked a new car and well, another journey to follow! Now, knowing all of this, Keep Driving was a cool and peaceful experience to me, in my first playthrough, got me around 5 hours of playtime, and it is a game that has loads of replayability (and I'm not someone that likes to replay games, but this one I think I will), customizable choices to appeal to those who enjoy cars (come on! an old tuned volvo is so much cooler than a common mustang that every old american has), and randomness to keep every run unique! This time capsule is about the vibes and remembering those roadtrips you've done with your family when younger or for those that you look forward doing with your friends in the next years.

Driving IRL has always been fun and therapeutic for me so naturally this game was a must have. Keep Driving has a relaxing vibe to it that not many other games I own have. Also the soundtrack to this game is a 10/10. Love the music.
