As an old settlers fan, I really wanted to like this and I had no problem running the game.
However, the game is a travesty.
Feels like some weird RTS-hybrid designed for mobile with very little resemblance to the Settlers formula. Design decisions makes no sense. Food & buildings that doesn't matter. The game looks nice in screenshots but feels so bland in game. Hard to tell buildings/units apart. All voice acting is terrible, devoid of any traits or charm. Of course the campaign is utter trash with poorly designed maps primarily consisting of cutscenes with nonsensical characters that would make even netflix cringe.

The game would be ok at best, if not for the constant connection issue's with the idiotic ubisooft connect.
During online play, it randomly disconnects from the game and does not let you log back in, losing your online match.
Very few maps available (remembering the older settlers games like 2 and 4 it is absolutely an insult to the real settlers games where you had plenty to choose from, not to mention random maps)
Full price is WAY to much for the content and quality of the game.
It has a little feel of the settlers games, but only due to the need to connect roads to buildings.
As a Settlers game, (as ubisoft claim it to be) i cannot recommend it at all.
As a standalone game, i still cannnot recommend it due to the connection issue's and the lack of maps.
As a huge fan of the classics like TS 2 gold edition and TS 4, spending countless evenings glued to the monitor, playing alone or with friends and family, it just hurts me personally that this game is the best ubisoft came up with. . .

I had no problems with crashes yet, i had to restart my computer because ubi couldn't connect with steam.
The game is decent at best, as of now i am not a fan of the decoy's and towers, the aoe damage of towers can kill your entire army.
One way to deal with this is simply trigger the aoe damage then leave the tower range and engage when the tower is done.
Pretty lame, maybe there is another way to deal with this.
The campaign is a bit boring, i just skip the cut scenes because of it.
I give it a 6.5/10

The game has nice atmosphere but unfortunately the game look incomplete and lack some basic features. It seems the developers tried to make it more like an online game similar to popular cellphone games. They should have name it differently instead of settlers franchise. I requested a refund.

I'm a Settlers 7 player so I purchased New Allies. So far I like it allot. It's better than 7 in some ways. I do not like certain tasks requiring specific food types to boost. Still figuring things out yet.

The Settlers: New Allies isn't quite the return to Settlers that fans of the franchise would want. Shallow across all areas, with basic city-building and very basic strategy elements, held together by an average narrative. It's not a bad game. And it is still Settlers. But:
1) Campaign is too short.
2) Challenges are very easy.
But, like I said, still Settlers. 6.5/10.

So sad.... such a great franchise and whoever designed this version is completely inept at game dev. They should never work in this industry again.

If you like settlers stay clear of this game.
Buy this game instead: Pioneers Of Pagonia it was made by the guy whom first made settlers.
Ubisoft is a scam company which wont fix its products.
I've tried to launch this game through their always in beta app "ubisoft connect". It crashes.
I've tried to launch it through steam, but it still goes through ubinoobs app and you guessed it - crash. I've sent them countless crash reports, but they simply don't care.

Avoid this game. Game won't launch correctly, crashes into desktop. Some problems with game or Ubisoft Connect, who will know. Launching games from Ubisoft Connect starts to be problem to play for almost all Ubisoft games. Waste of money and time. Their customer support, tips etc. are waste of time, confusing and nonhelpfull. Avoid in broad arch.
