I love plants/flowers but I kill them in real life, (unintentionally.)
*Not a psycho plant murderer* All jokes aside, this game allows me the satisfaction of having plants
without the responsibility and heartbreak when I realize another one bit the dust.
Game play is simple and straight forward. Music is decent but I tend to listen to Spotify.
Art style is pleasing and I love being able to learn about all the plants. Bonus points because you can pet the cat!

This was so good!!! I love that there is a story as well as a creative mode. The art style and furnitures are so cute! What I love the most about this game is the pace. There is no time so I was able to play at my own pace.

Fun, low-stakes card collect/optimization game with a nice story. I typically find the card choosing games stressful, but being able to re-place plants made it much more chill. It makes sense to place plants in the required conditions, but there are not heavy penalties for not meeting all the conditions in the case of prioritizing design. Sometimes combos can give more points than satisfying all the requirements. The game additionally has some extra quests to move objects, and cleaning up and placing plants is a *-vibe-*. I think overall the game is pretty short, but I appreciate its quality. Definitely worth the sale price I paid! I do like plants in real life, and although there are some requirements I don't think are entirely accurate for the plants, the vibe was more important overall and held pretty true to real life plant collecting and let me fulfill my dreams of hoarding plants.

The game is adorable! It's relaxing and cozy, but it does get repetitive, and your choices do not impact the storyline.
As for the Unpacking comparisons: This game is not like Unpacking, the only similarity is that it follows the character’s stages in life. It has a point system that pushes you to be more efficient rather than creative. Points are required to progress to the next phase and are based on the plant's needs and their affinity with other plants around. That last part can be frustrating creatively, as some plants dislike being placed next to certain others.

Worth around £5-6 but I wouldn't pay full price. Cute, relaxing game but I only got around 6 hours of actual game time, and that's plus a few of the creative mode levels and continuing some normal levels way past the point of being able to move forwards. Not much replayability outside of the main levels and one or two levels in creative mode. I enjoyed the story and love the concept of the game but it could do with being twice as long.

Super cute game, it reminds me of Unpacking a lot. Chapters of your character go by and you're seeing a story unfold as you're finding the right spots to put your plants. Super cosy and relaxing!

Absolutely delightful game, cosy, stress-free, and with a heart-warming story. Strong Unpacking vibes but with its own flavour and game mechanics. If you loved Unpacking, you will love this.

I want to love this game so bad but I find it quite frustrating to play. The rotation is quite limited, so getting a different angle is impossible. There is too much clutter, and it makes it hard for you to place items around. I found myself sacrificing aesthetics to get through the level, clustering plants in a huge pile because there aren't enough hydration items and sun spots. Some of the plants are MASSIVE, so when you place them for the first time it ends up blocking a walkway, which ruins the immersion for me. There should be a size warning for the plants too, rank them S/M/L so that you don't have to guess based on your memory.
I think the combination of the plant mechanic and unpacking doesn't work, there just isn't enough surfaces to place the items and also cover them with plants. In order for it to work, there needs to be more surfaces, or the plants have to be worth more points. I think the story is good though, but getting through the levels to uncover it is a chore. I am DNFing, but hopefully in the future there are improvements, and I can change my review into something more positive.

Urban Jungle is a very good game where you decorate differents places by putting some various plants in a cozy ambient. You can even move objects and place it where you want for more customizations. The soundtrack is realxing and the designs are cute. It's the perfect game to chill out and take a breathe after a long day...I highly recommend it! 🪴❤️
