Having gone back and played SSX recently this feels pretty much the same but a lot smoother. Really good experience, high hopes for this going forward

This game plays like SSX and has SO many tricks! The maps that they have so far really capture the huge air, trick focused, arcade style fun that made me like snowboarding games. The soundtrack is modern and sounds great! It's in early access rn, but it has so much potential already. Multiplayer and campaign coming soon as well. Can't wait to see where the development goes! SSX players are going to love this game.

HELL YESSSSSSSSXX! Captures the SSX vibes super well with rad tricks and courses.
You can tell the developer really put a lot into it, really impressive with a ton of potential. Only 3 characters so far, they're still cool though.
Can't wait for the full campaign!

Yeah they are really doing it. Feels just like ssx. Some animations are missing, there isnt that much content but it still feels awesome. i was worried about the boost mechanic but it actually feels great.

The art-style, the HUD, the DJ Announcer cheering you on, the playable characters. This game captures the feeling of the old PS2 games perfectly.
The snowboarding and tricks are all there, it just needs more maps or perhaps one HUGE map that starts from a mountaintop (like SSX: On Tour), that would be sick. There's also a campaign mode coming soon that i am excited to try out.
Please buy it so Nathan can make more stuff for this game, it would be epic.

I've been monitoring this game for a while, and after recently getting myself a PC. I felt like now was the perfect time to pick it up. I already knew i wanted it but wanted to see how it felt to control. Overall i would recommend it but there are some things i would like to see focused on for updates in the future.
The first thing i immediately noticed was the games speed. It's very fast. I feel like slowing the game down slightly so the player has more time to appreciate the level design, and more easily detect shortcuts would improve the moment to moment gameplay, as i currently think its just a little too fast to really appreciate
second thing i noticed was the movement. The movement itself is actually great and really responsive but the way it looks is a little stiff. The bounciness of EA Sports Big era snowboarding games after landing a trick, or leaning right or left into an over exaggerated turn, isn't really present here. Obviously this is an early access game so i'm not going to be overly critical when the product is a work in progress, but it is something that i would like to see worked on in future updates
third thing i noticed was the lack of risk vs reward when it comes to the tricks. I love how smooth the player feels in the air, but its far too easy to just get away with rotating a hundred times and landing with no fear of failing a trick. I'd like to see the mechanic from old SSX games incorporated where the player spins slower and slower, the longer the player is committing to the trick. I do really like the mechanic of gaining a slight speed boost for landing tricks though.
Final thing id like to focus on is atmosphere and style. The game seems a little minimal? filter effects on the screen, more billboards and advertisements, the roar of a crowd as you pass them. The world feeling more alive feel would be incredibly beneficial for the experience
Overall i would recommend this game to anyone who has love for extreme sport racing games, and for people who enjoy this title to recommend it to their friends, as it's only going to help the developers in relation to the budget. I am very hopeful this game turns out to be as good as i believe it can

SSX vibes, retro charm – solid base already
Really enjoying the game so far. It nails that SSX feeling – I had fun and felt that oldschool vibe immediately. I like the retro charm, it fits the arcade style well. For the small price, you get a good idea of the full experience. I support this project and look forward to the full console release.
But I’ve got a few points of feedback:
• Courses feel a bit minimalistic. Maybe that’s intentional, but some unique set dressing (billboards, landmarks etc.) would help give them more character. The retro style works, but a bit more visual identity per track would be nice.
• Freaky bar unclear. When the freaky bar is full, I’m not sure what to do. I couldn’t find anything in the settings either. Would help a lot to show the input when it’s ready – like a simple button prompt to trigger the trick. Those written wicked combos are too much mid-run. Something easier would be better.
• Boosting feels stiff. When I accelerate, I can’t steer properly while preparing for jumps. I’d prefer to still have movement control while boosting.
• Speed feedback. A lens distortion or something similar during high speeds could really help to sell the speed feeling more.
That said – for a solo dev project: massive respect. The core feeling is there. Thanks for supporting Mac users too. I’m looking forward to the console release!
