I feel scammed for buying an expansive, deluxe, year 1 season pass version just to be now having to buy extra content on the side? No thanks. I'm out. Year 1 season pass, means all the content for the first year. Don't give me this crap about it says "character" in the season pass. We buy season pass in order to be covered for all year without having to be buying extra DLC.

This deluxe pack is straight up a scam. 40 bucks for 4 characters. Where the hell is the Heihachi stage. You are telling me qe got a year 1 pass and there is still dlc that you don't even get with it?

So, if I bought all 4 characters separately, it would've been about $10 cheaper. Almost everything else in this pack is worthless. The only thing worth something is 3-day early access. And it's worth nothing 3 days later. I'm paying an extra $10 for 3-day early access. Oops. That wasn't worth it at all. Upon purchase I was under the bad assumption that all bundles have something good to offer; a discount, or stages.... well I guess that's all this game would have to offer. So I embraced illiteracy, skipped the descriptions, and bought this Upgrade Pack. The value is genuinely awful.
So overpriced that it should be considered criminal. For the price, it still doesn't come with the new stage: Genmaji temple, because I'm starting to believe Bandai Namco uses Tekken 8 to fund many/all of their other projects.

Do I have to remind everyone about the in-game "Tekken shop" that sells you microtransactions, and that the online lobby is filled with ads to their paid DLCs?
You cannot train with these DLC characters evidently, but can't fight CPU AI ghosts of them either. Because you know, bad for business. So you learn by getting your a$$ beat online by these characters - and then learn by watching replays, if you're nerdy.
Can't wait for a sequel to this: the "super ultimate turbo deluxe pack part deux" with 2 characters and 1 stage for $70. That's my guess. In other words, FU Bandai Namco.

I only bought this just for Clive. But this ♥♥♥♥ is so overpriced and the fact that I have to do the “deluxe upgrade” just for the season pass is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ abysmal.

Characters are $7.99 each, so including the unreleased character, characters add up to $31.96 excluding tax. This upgrade costs $39.99. That means Bamco believes that: 3-day Early Access for DLC characters - Avatar Skin: Kinjin • Character Costume: Gold Suit Pack Is worth $8.03. Considering that stages are not a part of this bundle, and Genmaji Temple costs $4.99, it literally costs less to buy the DLC characters individually with the first stage than it does to get this bundle which doesn't include stages. Buy it if you really want an avatar skin and a tacky looking gold suit for all characters, or can't wait 3 days to play the next dlc character. Ignore it if you think a single customization option and 1 avatar skin isn't worth 8 dollars.

If you have any interest in getting the season 1 pass then just buy the actual deluxe edition of the game and save 10 dollars. This is crazy overpriced for what it's offering UPDATE: since everything is out now, you will literally SAVE MONEY buying everything the pass offers separately. Eddy, Lidia, Hei and Clive + stage together costs 34 bucks. You can even throw in genmaji temple, which the fight pass doesn't include, and still be saving 1 dollar by not buying this garbage. I remember once upon a time season passes were supposed to be cheaper than buying everything as it comes out. Wtf happened

Locking early character access behind this paywall instead of introducing a character pass, the whole practice of character early access, the filler content with costumes from earlier games being locked here and the useless avatar skins are all very unethical business decisions

You are telling me for this price (plus the base game), there are still microtransactions within the game? This downgrade of a game reeks of corporate greed. Also, rename this "deluxe edition upgrade" into "Rebuy our previous base characters so we can milk this game as long as fighting games are relevant."

Horrible predatory monetization. At the moment the game is at -50% discount (35 euros), including the Ultimate Edition at -40% (66 euros), but none of the DLC is discounted. I originally paid 70 euros for the standard edition of the game, so I have to pay full 40 euros to get the season pass, bringing the amount I paid for the game to 110 euros total. And I STILL don't have all the content from the ultimate edition, and one of the stages is locked behind an additional paywall at 5 euros. So if you bought the standard edition of the game at release and want to unlock the rest of the (meaningful) content, you'll be paying 115 euros minimum.
