A great game filled with some thrills, laughs and surprising difficulty. Perfect for a session of couch co-op or remote play. It's on sale regularly for $2.99 and I absolutely recommend picking it up at that price.

I can't believe I never heard of this game before! I was looking for a game like Contra to just have fun shooting nonstop, and this was beyond perfect. I love how dynamic the game is, I've spent 5 hours so far but I feel like it's been just a while. The tone is perfect, reminds me a lot of Team America World police by the South Park guys. I'm looking forward to trying this one out with my girlfriend on Co-op this weekend. Definitely recommend it!

Quick Review Broforce is a rouge-like, side-scroller shooter game in the likes of Contra. It has a nice looking pixel art style and the campy theme of movie heroes as "Bros" is amusing. Audio and music are fine. Gameplay is... not for everyone. While it starts off somewhat fair and balanced, by the mid-game it devolves into bullet/explosion hell and all you do is die all the time. For American movie hero Bros, it's kind of silly that they die from literally everything in one hit while enemies, of course, take multiple shots to kill. Great gameplay balance /s Also, the Bros you get in most missions are randomized and some are definitely way more useful than others. It's a cute concept but it's plagued by improperly balanced gameplay and a lack of explanation for what they expect you to do in some missions. This will only appeal to the only most diehard, rouge-like fans. Casual fans, be prepared for hours of frustration. That said, I can tell it's well-made and has a certain amusing appeal so it barely squeaks by with a recommend. 6/10

Well, bullet hell, frustrating, compulsive, story non-existent, unnerving tricks like enemies firing at you off screen, the jokes wear out quickly if you are over 15. I seriously need to better consider what I buy when on sale

Review: Broforce – A Chaotic, Explosive Love Letter to ’80s Action Movies If you’ve ever wanted to punch Satan in the face while draped in the stars and stripes, Broforce is your game. This side-scrolling, explosion-filled romp is a hilarious, over-the-top tribute to ’80s action heroes, American patriotism (with a heavy dose of satire), and pure, unadulterated chaos. With its destructible environments, ever-evolving challenges, and a roster of muscle-bound parodies like Rambro, Bro Dredd, and The Brominator, Broforce is a 9/10 masterpiece of mayhem that never takes itself seriously—and that’s exactly why it’s so addictive. Gameplay: Freedom, Firepower, and Freedom™ The core loop is simple: shoot everything, blow up even more, and rescue POWs to unlock new “bros” (each parodying iconic action heroes or movie characters). But don’t let the simplicity fool you—Broforce demands skill. Enemy types escalate from rogue militia to aliens to literal demons, forcing you to adapt your strategy. One minute you’re mowing down terrorists in a desert (complete with oil barrels labeled “Freedom Juice”), the next you’re battling Satan himself in a fiery hellscape. The controls are tight, the action is frantic, and the power-ups (like teleportation or super jumps) add just enough absurdity to keep every run fresh. The Bro Roster: Parody at Its Finest The game’s genius lies in its shameless, loving mockery of action cinema. Every “bro” is a hyper-masculine caricature: Rambro: Bandana-clad, machine-gun-toting freedom dispenser. Bro in the Shell: A cyborg bro with a sword (yes, it’s Ghost in the Shell meets RoboCop). Brochete: A jungle warrior with a machete and a grudge (Predator fans, rejoice). Each bro has unique abilities, encouraging experimentation. Want to slice enemies with Wolverine claws? Play Xebro. Prefer raining rockets like Schwarzenegger? The Brominator has your back. Destructible Everything: Play Your Way The terrain isn’t just a backdrop—it’s a playground. Blast through walls, collapse bridges, or tunnel underground like a pixelated Godzilla. This sandbox approach means no two playthroughs are the same. Need to bypass a sniper nest? Just blow up the floor beneath it. Trapped in a cave? Carve your own exit. It’s like Minecraft meets Metal Slug, and it’s glorious. Humor: Satire So Thick You Could Grill It Broforce doesn’t just parody action tropes—it skewers them. The story mode pits you against generic “terrorists,” aliens, and eventually Satan, all while the game winks at U.S. interventionist tropes. The dialogue is packed with one-liners (“I’ll be bro”), and even the loading screens mock action-movie clichés. It’s dumb, it’s loud, and it’s exactly what it wants to be. Why Not a 10? The chaos can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially in co-op (which, while fun, descends into friendly-fire anarchy). A few bros feel underpowered compared to others, and the difficulty spikes late-game might frustrate casual players. But these are minor quibbles in an otherwise stellar package. Verdict: Freedom Never Felt So Fun Broforce is the video game equivalent of a summer blockbuster: explosive, ridiculous, and impossible to put down. Whether you’re soloing the campaign or teaming up with friends for co-op carnage, it’s a love letter to action junkies and satire lovers alike. Grab your gun, salute the flag, and remember: in Broforce, there’s no problem that can’t be solved with more explosions. Score: 9/10 “Bro, please—play this game.”

Bazen insanın sabrını sınayan, ama arkadaşlarla her zaman keyifli bir oyun. Karakterlerin sık değişimi ve birbirinden farklı mekanizmaları oyuna çeşit ve derinlik katıyor.

AMERICA AMERICA AMERICA All jokes aside, I like broforce, it's over the top in a good way and has plenty of references for those into movies and comics. It's a fun game with some challenging aspects, and it's fun as a multiplayer game.

Broforce is an absolutely exhilarating and over-the-top action-packed experience that perfectly captures the essence of explosive mayhem and unrestrained freedom. With its chaotic, pixel-art destruction, an arsenal of ridiculously powerful weapons, and a roster of action-hero-inspired bros, every moment feels like an adrenaline-fueled tribute to classic action films. The game’s fully destructible environments and relentless waves of enemies create an ever-evolving battlefield where players can carve their own path of destruction. Whether you're blasting through walls, dodging fiery explosions, or liberating everything in sight, Broforce delivers nonstop, high-octane fun with an unapologetic dose of patriotic absurdity

This is a game that I keep coming back to any time I need a quick dose of arcady fun.... or maybe it's freedom. Either way, the game is a blast. Give it a try if this is still sitting in your wishlist.
