Bare bones reissue, no bugs so far. Works fine on Windows 11. Need a widescreen patch to support 16:9, would have been nice to have that included. None the less, the game is working fine.

It keeps everything from the old game, and adds new elements that the old game didn't have! I can not stop playing this game, and my new cities are thriving, just like my old cities were!

It was all going well! Then my power plants burst and my city ran itself into the ground nearly instantly since I had around 1k to spare... Good game.

I never thought I'd say this but thank you EA for releasing SimCity 3000 in a playable state on Steam. I played this game so many times at home and at the after-school club. There was always a competition about who could have the best city and if someone had a skyscraper in their city they had bragging rights. Of course, most of us didn't have any skyscraper in their city. We were all bad but the game was just so much fun so it didn't really matter Funny enough, no one was talking about Mario or Zelda. Nintendo has never really been big except for Pokémon where I live. It was mostly Counter Strike , SimCity 2000 and SimCity 3000 and of course a lot of PlayStation games there was popular when I was growing up

Classic memories. 3000 for me is really when this franchise found its footing. I can and have lost hours building in this game!

Honestly? You were able to produce deep hate in me for something I used to love intensely. Don't know what's technically wrong with this "remake" of an oldie, but we are in 2025 and pretty sure you could have done it way better!Instead, you just thought about making profits. As usual, eheh "dearest despicable mommy" EA. Maxis died, and with them all the love in making video gaming history. There's no way of controlling the mouse scrolling and have a proper fluid visual of the game therefore in my opinion this is unplayable (I stopped after not even 10 mins), don't know if it's hyper sensitivity or what. I am not a programmer nor an expert. But there's no way you can enjoy this game. I just bought it cause I am a nostalgic of all the Sims series by Maxis...and because it was super cheap. Otherwise I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND to search for free downloads on the net. Unfortunately, none of the versions I have managed to find online could run on Windows 10 so they were all giving me errors...that's why I came here. But I would suggest more expert PC users and nerds to look for free alternatives and find a "cure" to the Windows system compatibility for very old games like this one. Luckily I managed to find free and properly running titles for the rest of the series, but please DO YOUR BEST to AVOID these CONDORS!(EA + STEAM) Thanks!

I love Sim City 300 Unlimited....but the controls are absolutely horrible! Constantly warping to the other side of the screen. Mouse wheel doesn't zoom in and out. I'm done.

started a game on hard mode in debt, had to build a dense coastal city with endless pollution, acid rain, crime, no amenities, and accepted a garbage contract from a neighboring city, all just to pay off my crippling debt. As the garbage began piling up on the streets and empty lots as the landfills were overflown, I realized I made NYC, and just left it there to make me taxes while I built a nice town on the neighboring island that was connected via bridge. I then added a supermax prison for profit to the main city, a bunch of jails, a defense contractor plant, and a statue to myself. 10/10

What can I say, SimCity 3000 is a classic, especially the Unlimited edition. It strikes a perfect balance between the simpler, pixel-art SimCity 2000 and the sprawling complexity of SimCity 4. To me, it's the best choice for someone new to SimCity, and probably for those new to citybuilding games in general. The gameplay has aged pretty well, though I do still wish there was a way to automatically refurbish utility buildings instead of having to rebuild them all at the end of their useful lives. The soundtrack is simply impeccable; there's some incredible music that's at least worth a listen on YouTube if you don't have this game. Overall, it's definitely worth a buy for anyone into classic games and/or citybuilders - and it's cheap, too. The game is playable on widescreen monitors by following this guide, and you can enable more music tracks by following this other guide.
