I'm a history buff and the opening statements of the game don't align at all. Mento was Caesar's ancestor and yet the 9th Legion didn't go missing till around 108AD, which Mento is leading in this game. Caesar didn't invade Gaul till around 50BC. How is Mento supposed to be Caesar's ancestor if Caesar historically would've came before him. He couldn't and it doesn't make sense

I don't think I can play this one... all the Roman legionaries running around with their american accents.... and lets face it poor voice acting. Was expecting better after such a great first game, i am disappointed.

Basically just stand alone DLC. Mechanics-wise, nothing really different so far (at 15.8 hours). Still good though.

NeocoreGames is one of my fav game dev. especially them had own unique art style. Just dope.
Legion IX was awesome theme, pretty cool model design.
but cutting too much content and to short... no match with original one(KAKT).
when Special Offer come, still can give a try,

Got this on summer sale and it's what I wanted from the original - more things to kill with new skills. The original game ends with the player pretty much demolishing everything to such an extent that there are no challenges left. The devs even released extra scenarios, and I plowed through those as well. What this game offers is more enemies and scenarios. This could've been a DLC, but I can't see how they would fit this into the original campaign, hence the new game.
Playing this on "roguelite" (ironman) mode, pretty good so far. All the cheesy "we are dead/demons" dialogue does not bother me.

It was fun for a while. Not much to the game besides the linear maps where you encounter enemies, fight, clear the map, manage your inventory, do stuff in your city until theres not much to do. i guess the only challenging part is the morality meter and how to keep certain romans in your party. overall id give it a 8/10 because i like the battle system.

A great spin-off from Neocore's King Arthur: Knight's Tale. Has a LOT of the same systems and whatnot but it is decidedly smaller in scope and narrative. So far though, having a great time. Even though it's smaller in scope don't get it twisted. This game STILL has a LOT of deep systems, characters and possibilities. You can play on "Normal" or "Roguelite" mode. With Roguelite there's NO saving, just autosaves and every decision is permanent. In "normal" you can scum save til your heart's content. The characters, the world and the story is really well done. The ONLY issue I really have with the game is the voice overs for the characters. It seems a LOT of the characters just phoned in their performance and it's not that awesome to listen to them speak most times. Still, the story is interesting and well done so there is that.
Neocore has created some absolute gems over their sorted history. The OG King Arthur "Role Playing Games" were pretty awesome back in the day. Then they created the Van Helsing trilogy which was just awesome on every single level for an action rpg. Then they created Warhammer 40k Prophecy and Martyr. Prophecy stumbled immensely at launch. Many systems were just not fun and the loot was paltry at best. However, with patches, updates and Martyr released they fixed it into a HUGE and ENORMOUS game with lots of complex systems, loot, characters and game play options. I'm def looking forward to seeing what Neocore does next as they're one of my favorite smaller dev groups that make some great games. This one included. Oh, you SHOULD go buy King Arthur Knight's Tale. It's awesome.

plays more like a DLC than a sequel. rehashed maps and models. though it improved on some aspects of the first game, it oversimplified others. story and final boss were lackluster.

Almost same game as the first, some aspects are better, some are not. You basically keep 38 gb full for nothing. They could have made this a new expansion story for the first game instead and improve that one.

Pretty fun game until you reach the end of the story. The post-game content is all recycled enemies and environments and you will likely be at max level with gear that won't really get outclassed by whatever drops and it is generally just a slog. Like other reviews have mentioned you can lose a party member permanently based on your decisions essentially leaving you 1 character short the rest of the game. I'd recommend to grab on a sale if you're interested.
