Love the concept here, but unfortunately it didn't hit a home run for me. The game was a little glitchy and I found myself having to out glitch the glitches. My viewers weren't really engaged on my channel, weren't fond of the puzzles but did find the creatures unique. The voice acting was very well done, however, it seemed the main character was in his teens and his voice was that of an older man. The graphics were decent but I really wanted so much more out of this. With fine tuning and perhaps more depth to the game, it could flourish. For now, as it stands, for 12.99, I can't recommend this one.

The world of indie games, is a delicate place. They take risks, more risks then most people I would believe, they don't have millions to pull from, nor do they often have a huge team to help create their project. Making games is hard. Candyland: Sweet Survival, is NOT a survival horror game, its more of a Children's puzzle game, with attempted "horror" shooter segments.
Let me start off with, I love the idea, a haunted/rundown candy factory is a fantastic setting for a horror game, much in the veins of "My Friendly Neighborhood" & "Poppy Playtime". Most of the puzzles, are solid brain teasers, especially the ones that involve you moving the enemies to stand in the right place! But... thats about it.
Maybe the game just wasn't for me, but from my experience, it just fell flat. The maps are full of colour, but feel depraved of life, large empty rooms, that could be filled with world building lore, are instead just empty hallways or housing rooms for giant puzzles.
The story is very basic, your grandpa made mistakes, and for some reason its up to you to fix things, we only get 1 interaction with the hero & the Villain, where they talk about their ideologies, and it just falls flat. The ending "boss fight" if you can call it that. Is just you solving more puzzles, and is very anticlimactic.
If your game is a puzzle game, call it a puzzle game, There are no survival Horror Elements to this game, there are barely any horror elements. Since there is only one enemy type, you get used to them very quick, and since everything is well lit, there truly isn't much to frighten you.
Some things that would propel this game into a higher rating would be things that make other games successful.
LORE! Hidden within the map, on notes, a more flushed out story, and more interactions with the antagonist.
More enemies variety
Variety In Weapons
I am sure you spent many many hours on this project. But the game just doesn't feel fully flushed out, and just left me feeling disappointed and bored.
I also completed the game in 1 hr and 20 min... for 17$ (Canadian) I have payed less, for better.
