Backrooms: Eight Levels Reviews

If you're not careful and noclip out of reality in the wrong areas, you'll end up in the Backrooms, where it's nothing but the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in. God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby, because it sure as hell has heard you.

Good solid backrooms experience. Graphics look amazing just got done beating it. Definetly worth the price!

I wanted to finish this game to write my review, so here we go! First of all, I really enjoyed it, very much, so congrats, it is a very good game! I actually got scared in some parts, the office and the sewer, so thats good, not a lot of backrooms games scare me. It was not extreme but I jumped a little. The graphics pure awesome, very good, every level had detail! I think the ice level was so good, my favourite from the whole game. I think that because its something I didn't see in any other backrooms style game so congrats again for an original idea! My favourite level in all the backrooms is the pool level and you nailed it, liked it very much! The only thing I didn't like (it was not a big problem) was the SHIFT button. Even if I was stationary, If I pressed it, it was making the breathing sound! So overall a very good game for it's price, I wishlisted this on Epic and I bought it on Steam and Epic Games because I wanted to support the developer. For me its a 8.5/10 Very good game!

The game looks great, that's unquestionable. But the camera shake... why do so many devs make it so exaggerated to the point that I feel like I'm playing with a bobblehead? The chases are intense, with the monster constantly breathing down your neck, so if you make a wrong turn, you probably die. The problem is that you can also bump into invisible walls, which makes an already hard game very frustrating.

Its good for the price. But it really bothers me seeing RTX toggles in menu THAT DOESNT WORK. Pls, make RTX work, i really want to see the game in its full glory

This game is awesome in VR. It works perfectly in UEVR on pc. If you like this game Nextbots in the backrooms is pretty much the same.

This game just did not live up to the hype. People have been telling me to play this game. I went up to my friend and said "hey" and he responded back with "yo you should play this game called Backrooms: 8 levels". he said it was the greatest game he has ever played. I did not beleive him at the time but when he told me more about the game, I could not believe what I was hearing. He made it seem like it was the Jesus of video games. I decided when I got home I would sell my child to buy this game. I never really like him any way. But, back to the game, I turned on my PC excited like a child waking up on Christmas morning. I went to the steam store and searched the game. There it was, staring at me like a beast ready to be awoken. I clicked on the game and spent the $0.49 on it. I downloaded the game and clicked on it to open. Well actually I double clicked to open it. When I got in the game I was immediately turned on by menu. I could not wait to get in the game and start toying with my-I mean play the game. I pulled down my pants and started stroking it. The more I played the game though, the more I realized it did not satisfy my massive shlong. i decided to open up discord and stroke it to my e-kitten instead. Very disappointed overall and would not recommend. /Esponal - Este juego simplemente no estuvo a la altura de las expectativas. La gente me ha estado diciendo que juegue a este juego. Me acerqué a mi amigo y le dije "oye" y él respondió "deberías jugar este juego llamado Backrooms: 8 niveles". Dijo que era el mejor juego que jamás había jugado. No le creí en ese momento pero cuando me contó más sobre el juego, no podía creer lo que estaba escuchando. Hizo que pareciera que era el Jesús de los videojuegos. Cuando llegué a casa decidí vender a mi hijo para comprar este juego. Realmente nunca me agrada de ninguna manera. Pero, volviendo al juego, encendí mi PC emocionado como un niño que se despierta en la mañana de Navidad. Fui a la tienda de Steam y busqué el juego. Allí estaba, mirándome como una bestia lista para ser despertada. Hice clic en el juego y gasté $0,49 en él. Descargué el juego y hice clic en él para abrirlo. Bueno, en realidad hice doble clic para abrirlo. Cuando entré al juego, el menú me activó inmediatamente. No podía esperar para entrar al juego y empezar a jugar con mi... quiero decir, jugar. Me bajé los pantalones y comencé a acariciarlo. Sin embargo, cuanto más jugaba, más me daba cuenta de que no satisfacía mi enorme shlong. Decidí abrir Discord y acariciarlo con mi gatito electrónico. Muy decepcionado en general y no lo recomendaría.

Very solid Backrooms game, but I do have some notes: 1) Immediate bugs. The invisible walls on the "almost there" stairs were infuriating. I found myself having to spin around, crouch, and all types of acrobatics to get down almost every step; 2) Pacing. It's a little too frantic. The game design is great, but its hard to appreciate it when you're basically being chased by something from the start of each level. More opportunities for exploration would be nice and add to the maze-like aspect of a liminal space. Slow it down.; 3) Plot/Lore. The notes and artwork are awesome, but would be even better if they were part of some overarching narrative. If anything, I felt like the notes were almost always (mis)leading me to danger so I wanted to avoid them. Overall, really cool game. I felt me hair standing on end at multiple moments. It made me feel a range of emotions (mostly fear). Hope the dev(s) will keep working on this.

I understand this is a short project, however, I hate having someone breathing down my neck the whole game, and there's a lot of areas where there are invisible walls in the way. very annoying to navigate. If I wanted to hear someone breathing so much, I'd watch someone masturbate on video and get the steamy action from that, not this backrooms game.

This game is truly one of the best looking backrooms games i have played the animations are good the animation for getting hit is spectacularly good but there are many problems one being the game is unplayable there being invisible walls that prevent you from progressing through the game and even the camera shake is a bit too much the sound of you breathing constantly is annoying and much much more but hopefully one day all of this gets fixed if it does i would gladly pay 30$ for this game but in its current state its just too janky
