I picked this up because I grew up having played Sega Rally Champion ship with my dad and this game reminded me a lot of that. The way the cars control are insanely fun, its like mario kart 200cc mixed with rave racer, once you do enough drifts things become so fast and exhilarating - you're either set a new record or lose control in the most spectacular fashion. It is certainly built for speed.

A really solid racing game, slightly brought down by finnicky physics as the car gets sent flying a lot. Really fun though and feels like the sega saturn classic we should have had and should have spiritual sequels too. A must play for arcade racing fans

Finally a true sega style racer. Not another outrun copy. It has it's own feel and the stacking boosts are unique and a joy to master.

Joy personified. Cars handle great. Music is fantastic. Great fun setting times or racing in multiplayer on the game's tracks or playing from the workshop.

TLDR: The game is good, way too arcade for me. First, the visuals, is clear what the devs were going for and they nailed that aspect. It's charming, it's chunky, it's perfect. The audio is a let down, it lacks any punch to it and the music is not what expected, it gets repetitive fast. The gameplay was the mayor let down for me, cars feel slow and the game overdepends on press x to drift. It's more of a me problem but somebody looking for a more casual experience this is a good pick.

Made me so immersed I felt as if I was the car itself and I felt every pixel scrape every bump against a wall. My skin is burning, every bit of my body is aching and feels swollen, I never felt such pain in my entire life, tears want to drop down my face, but I am smiling because this silly game is giving me so much joy in return for all of this suffering. Even if I was dreading every bump, every spin out I felt that the car was very responsive as if my nervous system was put inside of the game. I don't know how they made a game feel so real, but I applaud the team. Couldn't recommend more.

Vibes wise this is 100% on point. The gameplay, also, feels mostly solid and nuanced enough that you're keen to have the game require that you use what you eventually learn. And that's my gripe; it doesn't. As a huge Sega Rally fan I'm totally prepared to love a game with four tracks in it, even, but what Sega Rally does with four tracks is ramp up the difficulty so that initially, the fourth ("bonus") track feels impossible. Then as you finally get good enough to do a perfect race on it, that feels *incredibly rewarding*. Across eight tracks in this, your improving skills only ever make you feel like you start running circles around it almost immediately. This game suffers a fate of a lot of vibes indies whose aim is to be evocative of an era and simply pleasant to play, which I do respect. However, what makes it frustrating here is that, fundamentally, the mechanics are there, and sound enough to scale, so leaving them unleveraged feels like a waste and a disappointment. If you're okay with the challenge ramping up proper in community made custom tracks, this game has you covered. I really wanted something more satisfying in that regard from the base experience. Maybe "not recommended" is harsh of me, but this is my reasoning mostly: If you're drawn to said vibes in this, it's very likely that you've played the Saturn games this is evocative of enough that they live on in your heart. If you expect this to give you that small scale, infinitely replayable, honing your skills experience that even something like Manx TT did, the fact that this never digs that deep is likely a deal breaker for you as well.

Extremely good controls, loveable graphics, tight maps, fantastic physics, and a bangin soundtrack makes me want to scream to people about how wonderful of a game this is. With time, this can only become greater and greater the way the Dev is pushing it.
