At its core, the game is an evolution simulation where organisms adapt to their environment over time, guided purely by the pressures of natural selection. It's one of the most faithful implementations of evolution I’ve seen in a game. Organisms don’t evolve just because. They adapt based on the traits that help them thrive in specific environments. If an area rewards speed, agility, or separation from other bibites, the species that evolve those traits will dominate... you know... just like in real life. AS dumb as that sounds I have never seen a game come as close as this one to making it feel real
What makes this even more impressive is that it's a solo developed passion project. The developer has not only crafted a brilliant simulation, but is also deeply involved with the community. They're humble, responsive to feedback, and clearly committed to making this game the best it can be.
I highly recommend buying this game and following its progress as it evolves through early access. It’s already something special.

I've been keeping a journal of interesting behavior witnessed, including a species where the young bring food back to feed their parents pretty reliably, and then a small number of young happen upon uncontested food clusters and claim them to become parents of their own.
TL;Didn't Write : This isn't a game, but it's a really cool simulation to run when I'm not doing other things with my PC and to periodically make observations. Really really cool.

Fun evolution simulator that can be as simple or complex as you want. you can edit their mind and behaviour or just sit back and watch what evolves after a couple days.

Yes, please.
I have followed this development since I first found it on YouTube, back when the bibites were just starting to find their way around. It's a rare title and I've just barely started playing with this toy, but yes, highly recommended.
Not a game; a playground/terrarium ,,, exactly what it says it is.

Really having a blast with this simulator as I am a sucker for sandbox games, especially if it pertains to evolution in some way.
After many generations, I ended up having a critter that was born with no egg sack, it could basically not have any offspring. How amazing is that?
I hope for dynamic body parts in future updates that can appear or disappear over generations to better simulate evolution, but so far the current parts (egg sac, fat reserves, mouth, side fins and jaw) can vary greatly enough that you can still get many combinations, but what truly completes the physiology of these bugs is how the game handles their behaivour--How their brains evolve to add function to the existing body parts is a whole separate mechanic that adds to the amount of possibilities.

I can not express how much I like this program!
This is not a game. It is a simulator that is as fun as a game. But it is much more, much deeper than that. With the ability to give the Bibites food pellets at your discretion, or end family lines of with a click, (there is even a Thanos like ability to instantly kill half of the population in a single click) it becomes a God Simulator. And you have to decide what type of God you are. Do you simply let them live their short lives by random chance, or do you intervene to save them when they seem about to die. And the sheer number crunching that is going on behind the scenes is mind blowing. If you are running at 1X speed, there are tons of calculations being made for a single Bibite. But there can be any number of them alive and doing the same number of calculations as well. Then you can speed it up 100X and the calculations are still going on at that pace.
There is a lot of numbers and graphs that can be intimidating at first, but the true beauty of this is in the numbers, and the evolution of each species and their inherited or repressed genes. You can follow a Bibit's progress, and follow it's children's progress with a click.
I can't say enough about this program, and I have only been a spectator in the default settings, I am having too much fun at this level to move on, but know it's going to be great.
If you liked Tamagotci's, it is like that on steroids, they have a life of their own, they live, have children, evolve, and die (becoming meat).
I watched as a Bibit, weak and near death from starvation (before I learned about the pellet drop feature) give birth in an area where there was no food, and the baby swam on what little energy it had until it starved just out of reach of food, It's mother lived and birthed 13 children in total, with only two being alive when old age finally made life impossible for her to survive any longer. That is the kind of drama that is taking place with dozens of them at the same time.

Very good, even just for entertainment. It seems promising for budding young scientists learning about evolution and biological systems.
