Windowkill Reviews
Windowkill is a twin-stick shooter, but the game window itself is constantly closing in on you. Shoot the window edges to push it around your screen as you fight and dodge enemies and bosses in their own windows.

This is a great game, however there is a problem on steam deck where everything is off screen, yep ironic the game doesn't fit the window. Probably just a me problem but if anyone has any advice please reply.

Really innovative mechanics implementing windows into your gameplay. I found it a genuine pleasure to explore how to play this game. Overall I think this was a great purchase for anyone wanting to try something new.

It's one of those innovative and interactive-based games I would definetly recommend to my friends without any hesitation. Simple shooting games are fun, and it's cheap, too, so go on and get it yourself :)

really interesting idea for the game, a bit claustrophobic and high-pressure gameplay but it has fun sides.
Btw if you face any perfomance problems regarding amount of windows spawning on the screen - try fake windows setting in options. It really helped me to stop game crashes.

Pretty good game, super cool and unique concept and great execution!
My biggest problem is the amount of bugs and random crashes. For example, the 'fake windows' option can cause the X button on smiley windows to not work.

Crazy cool, very fun gameplay, although it makes my eyes go funny when looking at other windows afterwards. Works SO well on Linux, and I was happy to see that there's a GNOME-like window theme in the settings!

there is a LOT wrong with this game. great for a casual pov/someone who rlly doesnt care how polished the game is, but this is just an unbalanced mess.
earlygame: great! first two bosses have variety, are hard but simple enough, and eases you into the flow of the game. heavily punishes you for using the restock feature at this moment despite being the cheapest option, making for desperate gambles that new players wont realize will harm them later on in the run, as the rerolls get more and more expensive.
midgame: slime dude is annoying as hell and is a crazy difficulty spike, took me about 5 runs, or about an hour and a half to beat him ONCE. i get the game being a roguelike and youre not gonna always get the best addons, but it should NOT be that inconsistent to beat one boss.
lategame: absolutely terrible. completely unoptimized mess, you cant even tell whats happening, and not in a fun ultrakill cybergrind way. dont spawn in 10 bosses in a game where your entire mobility is restricted to your desktop. this also defeats the entire point of the game as a bullet hell, most of the time there is no space to dodge, and since things get more and more expensive, you cant heal enough most of the time. along with that, you cant get any actual buffs, as youre only going to be looking for heals, eventually leading to your inevitable death. endless should be possible to be endless, not just a basically scripted death.
