While the focus of the game is on the narrative, there is also an element of time management as you'll need to balance work and relaxation to learn their stories before they depart the cruise. This sounds great on paper, but the implementation is lacking. The writing for the main character made me cringe with jokes and faux pickup lines that fall flat. The characters only appear in 1 location each during a set time period, they don't wander to different locations or have a daily routine that you need to learn. The stat system is flawed in that the permanent boosts are no longer useful by the time you can learn them. Achievements are bugged and don't trigger. The music, while clever in that it builds as you compose the new track, starts incredibly basic which makes the first hour of the game very quiet and boring. Underneath the problems, there are some interesting stories told by the four characters, but the payoff didn't feel worth the time invested, which is a shame. While I think the core premise has merit, it's ultimately let down by poor gameplay systems and mechanics - especially when there are so many other visual novels available. This might be worth your time if you're a visual novel fan looking for something short and light, but otherwise I can't recommend this game.
