Playtime: 159 minutes
Short and Sweet story focused rythm game. Between the low difficulty of the story and the gorgeous visual / audio design it itself honestly felt more so like a stage play of its own rather than a video game at times. Gameplay is simple with only two keys (high and low notes), its technically serviceable but mostly takes a back seat to deliver the stage plays and story. Free Play is available but on pure gameplay merit there are better alternatives. The Plot is delivered in visual novel style dialogue as well as the events of the plays themselves, and despite a few odd translations in English, the writing, soundtrack and illustrations combined for a very enjoyable experience. Since we currently only have one linear snippet i cant comment on the story as a whole nor the impact of any future branching paths. One thing i am worried about is the mention of eventual price increases in the EA section of the store page. At the time of writing there are 5 chapters, totalling to a little over 2 hours of gameplay. Since the stage counter goes up to 10, a full playthrough of the game would round out to ~5 hours - maybe a little more. The current price (20€) is good in my opinion, but any more is going to be a tough ask for most people considering we are looking at a very short indie game whose developer only has one other proper game under their belt.
