A generally fun and breezy affair, Slash Quest is very inviting with its novel control scheme yet doesn't really do too much with it by the time you've become confident in using it. I found a lull of enjoyment around the middle third of the game, particularly when I started looking into the mini-games and side quests, with it picking up towards the end with a few more puzzles asking a little more from me. Best played in shorter sessions so as to not wear it out as it can get a little repetitive, it's still charming throughout. Its flaws are pretty clear, however it's ultimately still enjoyable enough to recommend. Would probably be ideal for a child.
