10/10, raw horror game that keeps you on edge and scares you at any given point. Would recommend if you don't want to sleep for 6 hours afterwards

I'm usually not the one to play horror-games but this was very atmospheric and has a fair length for the price. It doesn't fall into too much horror tropes and keeps you surprised and on the edge.

Project Vic is a short psychological horror with a captivating story. The game focuses on both creepy atmosphere as well as some jump scares. You need to solve some puzzles and finds some keys to unlock more rooms to be able to uncover more secrets! You need to take photos to get some more understanding of what happened to the family living there, which was a fun feature that I enjoyed quite well! Unfortunately I missed some photos so need to go back and get the last couple of photos to really uncover it all! :D I also loved how they don't allow you to go too far (like some games do) without important key items!

Like the previous games from this Dev it has the basis of a good game, it just doesn't quite get there. It isn't very sophisticated, most objects can't be manipulated, so no opening drawers or cupboards, they are static objects. Also there is a lot of walking about to find very few objects that can be used. My main gripe is that the walking speed is very slow, pressing left shift just moves walking speed to slow. I have no sense of direction so being lost in a forest with the speed I can move around at is painful. Having said that, the atmosphere is good, a few good jump scares, some puzzles to solve, lots to explore. It has a few hours of gameplay so is worth the price.

Not sure what to make of this one. It's somewhere in between. On the one hand it's well put together and the graphics are OK. I like the use of the camera to reveal snapshots of past events. It was also nice to have these photos explained at the end to tell more of the story. The locations overall were alright and I couldn't pick much fault with anything graphically. I didn't encounter any bugs either, apart from an initial error that the developer has now fixed and it ran fine too, so hats off for that! On the other hand though, I found most of the gameplay generic with lots of backtracking throughout. The majority of your time spent in the mansion is walking about trying to find keys to unlock rooms and find a few notes or puzzle elements. The puzzles aren't really challenging in any way. The horror in this game mostly relies on jump scares and I found them to be hit and miss... and a bit overused to the point of them being ineffective. I do find that with a lot of horror games though, so nothing new there. I would say this game is alright, if not a bit formulaic and short. 5/10
