It's very good and cute, but a lot shorter than the first game. It's just over an hour of gameplay and I can't really remember if the first one was particularily tricky, but this one was definitely very easy. I really like the style of the game and the voice acting is great, but I think one hour of gameplay for 10 bucks is a little bit too little. If there is gonna be a content update or a very cheap DLC i might change my my mind but currently I can't quite recommend to buy this.

Cute overall, and even on the harder mode it felt a bit more intuitive to deduce the clues. At the same time, it went by a lot quicker than the first one did - whether that speaks to the depth of the puzzles or ease of making deductions. In the end it was a little linear, which makes it straightforward to decipher most of the clues. Still, pretty enjoyable to pass a few hours. The music and voice acting remains excellent.

I love the Duck Detective games. They're quick and well made. With this game they've made some improvements as well, especially to the art and presentation. One major complaint i have is the color filter. It does give some atmosphere to the scene, but makes the yellow marker hard to see, so i kept repeating conversations just because i couldn't tell the color apart. In the grand scheme of things, its not a big deal, but i'm mentioning it here so that the devs can fix it.

The Ghost of Glamping is an improvement over its already well made predecessor. The storyline remains immersive, incorporating nostalgic detective themes with charming, cutesy vibes. One moment you think you understand the mystery, and then suddenly an entirely new plot is unveiled that weaves perfectly into the original story. Additionally, the cutscene animations are adorable and provide a fun break from the gameplay. The voice acting is surprisingly well executed; every line is delivered with perfect tone and emotion, fitting perfectly within the story. The overall gameplay of solving the mystery is a great take on the genre. I love how simple yet intriguing the puzzles are—I had to think, but not too hard, which is exactly what I want from a cozy game. My only complaint is how short the entire game is. I finished in just over an hour and had to keep the game running for card drops. While it’s an extremely fair price for such a well made short game, I hope for a longer runtime with a higher cost next time. I’m genuinely looking forward to that next installment and the passion for these games will keep me as a longtime supporter! And justice for Freddy (•ө•)♡

This game is a great follow-up to Duck Detective: The Secret Salami. These games are fun mysteries that manage to be all-ages friendly while engaging with just about every audience. The aesthetic works well as a contrast to the somewhat goofier elements, and the mystery tends to be a small slight that is incidental to a much larger issue the Duck Detective uses to "quack" the case. Highly recommend these games despite the short runtime!

Having played both games I can say that I have had such a blast, and that the only thing i wish was that they were longer! The art and voice acting are tremendous and the mysterious are enticing. Everything in the game is funny and draw me in so much I wish I had 20 more hours to play right now. If you're debating it go for it imho.

When I played the first game in the Duck Detective series, I genuinely loved every second of it. The little details, the storytelling, the quirky art style, the thrill of hunting for achievements. Sure, some of it may have been on the simpler side, but that didn’t take away from the joy. It was such a memorable experience, and I was honestly just so happy to be part of it. So when the second game was announced? My excitement skyrocketed. I was so ready. That said, I try really hard not to let hype completely take over, I like to keep my expectations grounded, especially when it comes to sequels. I know how easy it is to let the love for a first game set the bar unrealistically high. And to be fair, I can say some good things about this new installment too. The art? Still charming as ever. The character designs had me pausing just to take them in. They felt expressive, funny, and distinct in that way I loved from the original. The environments were once again full of those small, delightful details that make the world feel alive. But… I finished the game in 50 minutes. Five-zero. Compared to the original? 2 hours and 30 minutes to complete. And no, I wasn’t rushing through it, played at my usual pace. Unfortunately, the story this time felt kind of hollow, almost like Swiss cheese. The achievements? Honestly, nothing really stood out or felt satisfying to complete. So, do I recommend it? Yes. But not at full price. It’s not an expensive game, and if you’ve got the money to spare, go for it. I want this studio to succeed because I really believe they can create something special. And to do that, they need the support. But if you’re watching your spending (like so many of us are), and this is one of those games you’re internally debating over... wait for a sale. It’s worth experiencing, but maybe not worth stretching your budget for.
