I would not recommend the game at this state.
Is the game bad? not exactly
Is the game fun? yes but no
The game itself has very interesting gameplay, but the way it is designed feel so odd.
The game has 16 characters, but they all share the SAME card deck, yes u can customize the deck, but the difference between the characters were their passive, which mean maybe some excel at healing, some excel at producing foods, that's it, the 16 characters have identity but they are not UNIQUE, every character just build the same old "warrior archer mage priest", rather than human-> the four class, goblin -> maybe summon wolf or something, demon-> bring some demon army, but no, they just production rate+30%, nothing more
andddd the gameplay, everything u do is just punishing you, it is NOT rewarding enough, you wan more food? ya good luck cause u gonna get wrecked by enemy, u wan more damage? ya good luck u will not have enough food to survive, the punishment for choosing a route is so heavily inbalance, not rewarding at all
I managed to survive to 30 minutes, with every character playing the same build.. at this state it just not worth the money

Enjoyable little sim - I've unlocked a bunch of races and found them to all have some interesting little things to recommend playing them. Found a few good strategies for winning the maps/difficulties with humans but need something new for the next races now! I do want to play the demons, slaughter the enemies, allowing me to raise some demon-villagers and then conquer a new difficulty next ;)
Side note: The game also appealed to other family members I totally didn't expect it too - so they jumped in and tried to earn me some gold as well - go you good things!
Would love to see some small QoL improvements like an ability to name/save decks - or have them 'per race'. having so many races that require different decks makes it fiddly to switch around and try something new sometimes.

Pretty fun game, Best described as a Roguuelite-Town-Management-Survival, simple to get into, but really hard to master and grind towards all your Meta-progress/unlocks.
The main jist of the Game is about balancing your Economy with Defence, collecting ressources, upgrading the various Gear of your Troops/towers, increasing population and keeping up with your Food production.
Every minute you get into the building phase where you choose new buildings to place/upgrade and manage your village, once you´re done with that the fight continues for 60 seconds, during that phase its pretty much an autobattler aside from sending villagers arround to different buildings/towers training more troops etc.
It´s also quite grind-heavy with its Meta-Progression, where you can´t just increase 5 stats after single run, rather you gotta grind awhile for whatever long-term bonuses you desire.
Long story short -
It´s not very casual-friendly i would argue, which why i assume it lacks exposure/postive reviews, but for tryhard roguelite and defence-survival fans, It´s quite the Gem where you can easily spend 50 hours from the first look of it.

If you are really interested in this then I would recommend waiting for a number of patches to go through. The economy isn't well balanced in either metagame progression or in the active game itself. A number of features don't seem to be implemented yet, and everything other aspect of the game is pretty low quality relative to the ten euro price tag.
