Is SubwaySim 2 any different from the many other games in the genre? Well, the trains and destinations are different, and the way the train works and what you need to do to get it started is quite distinct. However, the overall gameplay, that of being a train driver, is practically the same. Whether or not you appreciate SubwaySim 2 depends on how much you enjoy picking up passengers and completing routes in the allocated time. However, the situations on offer are good, giving some variety to the standard action and almost incorporating a story. My only cons are identical passengers and the gameplay loop

After playing SubwaySim 2, I can confirm that I really enjoy this game. One of the things I particularly like is the career mode, where you take on different shifts and encounter unexpected events along the way. This adds a nice layer of realism and variety that keeps the gameplay fresh and engaging. The graphics are visually impressive, with a lot of attention to detail in the environment, trains, and lighting. However, performance could use some optimization. I'm running the game on a RTX 4070 Super, Ryzen 7 5700X3D, and 32 GB of RAM, and I typically get between 40 to 60 FPS, with occasional dips below that—especially in busier areas or when certain effects kick in. Despite the performance hiccups, the overall experience is immersive and enjoyable. I’m looking forward to future updates that might improve stability and add even more content to the game.

SubwaySim 2 is everything a transit enthusiast could hope for—and then some. From the moment you step into the detailed cab of the subway train, you’re immersed in a stunningly realistic simulation of underground transit. The developers have clearly put a lot of care into every detail, from the authentic train controls to the lifelike stations and cityscapes. What sets this game apart is its attention to realism and atmosphere. The rumble of the tracks, the announcements echoing through the tunnels, and the flow of virtual passengers all come together to create a deeply engaging experience. It feels less like a game and more like a real job on the tracks—perfect for players who want to feel the weight of responsibility behind the controls. Performance is smooth, with solid optimization and intuitive controls. Whether you're a hardcore simulator fan or someone who just wants to explore the subway system from a unique perspective, SubwaySim 2 strikes the right balance between accessibility and depth. In short, it’s a must-play for anyone who’s ever been fascinated by public transit. Highly recommended!

this game is really really good it feels very very realistic very decent train sounds. feels like im actually driving a subway train in real life. What needs to be improved the lag the game is abit laggy at times which i believe is in the game itself. Do not think it has anything to do with my laptop im sure there will be bug fix updates coming out shortly. Now im going to tell you what needs to be in this game in the future shortly id like to see a london underground route preferably the central line or the victoria line. Also maybe the paris metro line and the belgium metro routes. I know this takes time to make new routes its not straight forward. The routes you have in the game are really good but people are gonna get bored with it after a while. But really well done developers such an insane game.

I really want to enjoy this game, but i cant because the performance is so terrible that it keeps on crashing and if its not crashing it runs with like 1-5 FPS on the overground sections on both berlin and hamburg. And before anyone asks i do meet the system requirements.

It is very good looking. 2 routes that are very different from each other. U3 circle line in Hamburg, and U3/U1 end-to-end line in Berlin. UE5 gives very good lighting, but is also demanding for my 3 year old 3080. It still works on best settings with my 3080, but with fps between 30-60. Trains and trackside stuff are well made, operates well. DT5 in Hamburg is very easy to drive. The Berlin trains are more challenging. It is taxing to have to HOLD down the A key to keep accelerating/keep the speed on the 2 Berln trains. So I have a comfort-of-life TIP that works (*see footnote) on the A3L92 Berlin train: - Re/map the A-key, the default for acceleration, to the space-bar key. Then remove/re-map other in-game space-bar dependent shortcuts. - Put something on the space-bar to hold it down. I use a stapler. - The stapler can stay permanently on the space-bar, and you just move the brake-handle into any other position than "drive" (neutral, release or an actual brake-step fx). to stop the train from accelerating. - When you move the brake-handle back into "drive", the train will resume accelerating. * (tip doesn't work on the HK Berlin train, which means that I don't drive the HK train type, due to it being to taxing to drive for my fingers, too bad).

It's probably the only game so far simulating the Berlin Subway so good. Still has a log of bugs, need of performance optimization, but the concept is nice. I would love to see new lines tho. The U2 would be a really good development.

Game is very blurry on 4K so typical UE unskilled dev epidemic. Please take some time and review the graphics quality. Also Performance is very low with 4090 + 9800X3D but thats probably a UE5 issue.
