This game has a real 90's feel to it. It's like I'm playing a new SNES or Playstation game. Music and sound design are excellent. It has all the good metroidvania elements: Level Design, Exploration and Mapping system, Secret areas etc. Wide variety of enemies, weapons, spells, and collectibles. Good progression system that makes you want to get 100% of everything.

It's a fun game but really challenging. I recommend sticking with the NORMAL difficulty. Really enjoy the soundtrack! Works great on Steam Deck!

Play as hilarious digitized sprites in a janky metroidvania as a demon hunting metal soundtrack blasts, the collectables are passages from the Book of Enoch, everything on screen slows the game down frequently and it feels like it's about crash at any minute. 100% recommended.

This was my first experience playing a Metroidvania-like game. This game has a charming design with a lot of unique characters and cool movements. There are times throughout my playthrough I felt it was difficult to progress but once you practice the route, better understand the enemies, and find more chest treasures you can almost breeze though the level. I loved every time I came across a shop on a level, not only for the much needed resupply of my potions but to hear the shop keeper thank me for my business, it is a great line read! My only real con of the game is that while there are some good challenges to overcome in the levels, I do think the poison status effect is too powerful, it wrecked me quite a bit in some areas. Overall, Jrago II is a Steam Hidden Gem, 5/5 demon hunters! Also, I’m a Synge main
