A beautiful and simple game. Well, simple but not straightforward. Every jigsaw is strange in new and wonderful ways. Some of the better 2-5 hours you'll ever spend!

This is probably the weirdest game I've ever played, and that's saying something. Totally worth it.

It's this side of positive. There's a fun, creative ideas in here, and it's relatively short (which I've come to appreciate more and more these days-- "concise" is perhaps the better word).
There were two puzzles that annoyed me (kind of but not really spoilers, so heads up):
1. On the scribbled blue "map," finding the pieces is not intuitive. Figuring out what to do with those assembled pieces... maybe I could've/would've/should've figured it out. But I didn't and I blame the game, not the player.
2. The "Unusual Padlock" at the very end of the game is such a mess of logic so obscure and obtuse and ob...finished that it just comes across as... bad.

A strange little game in which you solve strange jigsaws. The puzzles are extremely creative, and are a good way to spend some free time.

Such a simple premise yet he managed to bring a tear to my eye. Spend that time with your daughter FLEB, she's quite an artist, but if you make another puzzle game, I assure you, we'll be waiting

An incredibly fun puzzle game more focused on constantly inventive mechanics than high difficulty. Perfect for a puzzling night in.

Strange Jigsaws is good enough to have made me extremely interested in seeing whatever FLEB happens to make next. In a lot of ways this feels like a direct iteration upon the physicality and tactility that was key to so much of the appeal of 20 Small Mazes, combining this with a plethora of silly ideas that completely break and bend the simplistic foundation in which the game completely leans in on. Strange Jigsaws does this even moreso, feeling like the project of someone deeply enamoured with a lot of tabletop puzzles and understanding how to take all the finer details of that experience and translate it into the digital plane while simultaneously taking advantage of things that could only be done digitally. There's a lovely sense of variety to this too, in terms of how subversive any one section of the game happens to be and what its goal actually is, which ultimately contributes to this constant sense of freshness.
There's a beautiful simplicity to a lot of the game as well, both in the bigger overarching puzzles that seem far scarier than they actually tend to be, and in the way that there's this constant kindness and comfort to the way everything is laid out. I value the attitude the game has, both when it's making me find specific pieces in a pile the same way you would with an actual jigsaw, or when it's giving me a horrifically annoying sliding puzzle that requires a dizzying amount of forethought, or even when it's just doing something that's more funny than anything else. In particular I'm also especially enamoured by whenever this ends up morphing into pure logic puzzles with the coat of paint as a jigsaw, so many genuinely different ways of thinking required throughout without feeling like too stark a departure. I'm very charmed by a lot of FLEB's sensibilities, I love specifically the way he takes steps specifically to make his games feel more like toys in particular, combining this with a very friendly, playful disposition. I have full confidence that anything else he comes out with will be something else I find a lot of joy in and will make even the most simple of interactions something that feels marvellous.
